Should Jagr get exempted into the HHOF?

But it’s not the NHL Hall of Fame, so him not coming back have absolutely no bearing on the situation.
I think we can extend that to any professional league.... if he retire this summer or next summer, I doubt he will make a big enough return in a significant enough league in the future to make it look strange like a Lafleur-Lemieux level of return, he will be getting close to 55 quick.

I love Datsyuk but he's not top 10 all time. Plus, he played a more full-time role in the KHL than what Jagr is doing.

I wouldn't be surprised if Crosby and Ovechkin get in immediately upon retirement.

Don't see why Jagr deserves it.

I thought it was clear nobody after Gretzky gets it.

You do it for Jagr you have to do it for guys greater than him like Crosby, Ovechkin, McDavid

Neither Crosby nor Ovechkin are greater than Jagr. McDavid might be a tad better but has had an underwhelming career so far.

They are, it time to accept it..

McDavid underwhelming career? I say he blows Jagr out of the water at the same age who was more complimentary

Not in adjusted points, not in how dominant they were. None of them were dominating real superstars either as their era lacked more top end talent. Malkin, Kane and that's basically it.

Their trophy cases speak for themselves, they are well ahead of Jagr there.

They are winners with Conn Smythes something Jagr could never come close to as he lacked the ability to really raise his game.

The lack of elite dominating superstars is puzzling to me as Ovechkin and Crosby were going up against each other they are far better than the likes of Jagrs competition...and even then guys like Malkin and Kane are above guys like Selanne and Kariya.

Plus Ovi and Crosby had less to work with

Adjusted points? Lol...

Their trophy cases are quite similar. Most trophies are also quite irrelevant like the Conn Smythe. There is a draft system in the NHL. You get assigned to a team. Whether you win the cup or not is largely out of your control. Had Jagr played for Detroit, Colorado or Jersey he would have won the trophy.

They went up against each other because neither of them was able to separate from the other skill wise. They were of Lindros and Bure level.
