How anyone on here can continue to defend that guy after what we've seen this year is beyond me. He just isn't a piece to the puzzle we're trying to put together. Looking at the types of guys we have on this team, he shares few to none of the characteristics they bring to the table. Wish we could rid ourselves of him as soon as possible, he's only weighing the rest of the team down.

This can't be possible! In my NHL14 GM mode, he has 46 goals through 30 games. :sarcasm:

sadly though I agree with you. Unfortunately with his play, he's diminishing our return. I highly doubt he will still be here after the trade deadline, and it will be a mutual split.

Wow. gotta have it Bob

I guess, but Bob's cheating to the middle of the net. Cover short side, he knew it too, thats why he dropped and held his head

Wiz has to stay set and look to tie a stick up on the 3rd goal. No reason to be so aggressive 4 on 4 way over by the boards on the last one. Terrible once again. Johansen's gotta be all over Ovechkin too on the last one...Bob didn't look good on either.

Oh please. Bobrovsky is worlds better than the Mason that was here after his rookie year. They're not even in the same universe. It's 16 games into the ****ing season and we're already calling Mason Syndrome? Are we serious? It's one thing to say he's a slow starter, but look at his stats, however curious some of the goals he's let in are, they're in no way close to Mason's aside from the W/L record.[/QUOTE]

New York Rangers game. He kept us in it. You want an example? There it is, you guys are unbelievable.

Guys Mason just got a shutout. Let's see if we can get rid of Bob while his value is still kinda high and get Mason back. Any takers? :sarcasm:

Once again, Wiz was fine all night aside from the OT. Bob was fine all game too aside from bad placement on 3rd goal (But could be avoided by clearing the puck one time) and the 2nd goal, which has no excuses.

A great 2 way fan.

He's letting in a bad goal a game. It's gone from "how cute, Bob's giving the other team a chance to win" to "He's a slow starter, he'll get better" to "Does Bob has Mason Syndrome?"

You just knew that 3rd goal was coming. It felt exactly like the Mason years.

The season's already started to slip away. If Bob doesn't go back to old Bob really fast, it'll be another season over by Thanksgiving.

I agree with you except for the Thanksgiving prognostication (I'd lean closer to New Year's).

Bob needs to get back into shape and not let in those softies every game if the Jackets want to make the playoffs. He has been average. That said, I think we need more than just average especially from a young, recent Vezina winner.

Gaborik is starting to remind me of "he who shall not be named." Hope I'm wrong.

I originally was fearing this, but have since come to disagree with it.

Gaborik hustles a lot and stays out on long shifts. He doesn't cut his shifts short, he works hard defensively, and seems to really enjoy being around his teammates. He may not be here next year, but he hasn't given up. I think he's more snakebitten than anything else. And I'm a guy who hates "yeah we can get some positives out of a loss," and "the bounces aren't going our way" mentalities.

I watched the last half of the game on a ****** stop and start feed, and I was still somehow thoroughly entertained. We had enough talent to play a wild one with the Caps, there's something to say for that. I won't say anything about the game as a whole, because I missed it, but of the plays I saw:

Nikitin was trouble in the second period. Out of position and turnovers.
Great plays from Dubi, Cam, and Wiz.
The great thing about having a defenceman like Wiz on the point is that he can even make the 4th line dangerous. Although he did screw up in OT.

Edit: Oh and I should have added that Murray's rip off the post made me drool for our future.

I agree with you, Bob isn't the reason we lost. Our defense is just bad and I hope everyone can see what I argued with everyone about with Gaborik 4 games ago...He's invisible, he isn't engaged whatsoever.

Man, how 3 minutes (Last 2 minutes, 1 minute and change into OT) changes some opinions.

And makes people forget that there probably wouldn't have been an overtime to lose if not for Wiz. He's producing loads of offence.(4th in the league in d-men scoring)

Sorry, I don't see it and I haven't at all this year. Gaborik is stone faced the whole time, zero emotion whatsoever. He isn't skating hard at all, you can see Atkinson fly around, that should be Gaborik also and it just isn't. I thought this might happen when JK called him out in the media (assist from Porty for starting that), he's gone in the tank like most european players do when they are challenged in the media. This will go the way of Jeff Carter with less fanfare and less in return. He will go quietly for a second if we're lucky.
