Just now watching the game on the Altitude broadcast. This part where MacKinnon and Martinook get called on matching penalties is freaking killing me. Kevin Polluck is making the call and there is absolutely no audio, his headset has as much power as the Avs so far in this game. The arena is dead quiet, and then you hear it...."We can't hear you, idiot!" Clear as a bell....

What a hell was that. This was probably THE worst game I saw Avs play in years. They need bag skating after this win

Frankie is just the perfect backup. He finds ways to win. Dudes rocking a career 38-17-5 record with a .921 SV%.
He's likable, and I think the team loves the guy. He puts up a performance like tonight and steals a game, there's going to be some players hopefully doing a little reflecting and come out extra motivated for Washington.
The roster is having its J-B weld repairs replaced by bondo, now being held together by duct-tape. I get it, but every single guy is signed to a professional contract and a 30.78 xGF% at even strength is not going to cut it.

Oh, and btw: This has to be the last game of Englund in an AVS-Sweater. Good lord, are we that thin on personal to call up this guy who rans his own goalie and gifts Carolina the goal?
Oddly enough in the postgame presser, Bednar put some of the blame on Franky for that.
