I never said your were off you're rocker and don't/won't take personal shots, don't know why you're saying something like that when we're just having a debate/discussion.Instead of listening to anecdotes from Mike Johnson something purely qualitative, I'd rather look at the stats.

When Brady fights, we are 8-24-2 all time. He's had 17 fights when we're tied or winning (7-8-2 record). He's had 17 fights when we're losing (1-16-0).

There is no tangible evidence that suggests Brady fighting helps us win games, in fact there's more evidence to suggest that it doesn't help us win. I would rather Brady focus on winning via scoring goals, something he's very good at, instead of dropping the gloves.

Can't remember exactly if it was after the interview or during it where it was suggested if they would get an even bigger impact from the group if it was someone else (they mentioned Batherson as an example) that stepped in to defend a team mate...

So for sure there is an appreciation from team mates but there is a price on this team taking Brady out .. In the game vs the Sabres it cost a goal on the PK and then when the Sens got a PP while brady was in da box their PP personnel changed on both units and they were out of synch... now granted it could have been just one of those nights for them getting going.

Personally I am all for responding to a dirty hit or a cheap shot but I have never been a fan of fighting in response to a clean hit.. that seemed less common back a few years but its very common now.

I will say that I have less of an issue with Brady responding to a hit early in the game than him showing he has the fight in him at the end of the game when the game is already decided against us.
