seems evident this team needs a culture change...that's not happening until the core is more or less gone...its the depth guys and recent additions to the team that have been their best players and they're supposed to be there to compliment the core not be the core...we've got like 23m in dead cap between Toews, Crawford and Seabrook doing nothing to help this team win atm...

He's moved around for awhile, maybe he actually does feel like there is something special in Chicago. I was under the impression the Hawks signed him to a one year deal as a try out for the starter for when Crawford is gone. But hey, what do I know... I just think the Lehner signing really was one of our best in a long time and it would suck to lose him. He is actually a quality player, hard to find good players in FA nowadays. They all want a crazy amount of money.

I understand the desire to let him develop at an NHL level, but there's simply no reason to burn a year off his ELC on a roster that has no hope of contending for a playoff spot. From an asset management perspective, you're better off waiting until you can surround him with better and put him in a better situation to succeed and actually help the team toward something worthwhile at the NHL level.

Not necessarily for that reason but I agree Dach should be sent down. Are the Hawks worse off? Likely yes but that is irrelevant. This team has a long way to go.

country club is well intact in south florida...they routinely give up 4-5 goals a night
