Strome was the best Hawks player on the ice not named Lehner.

Nah I'll say Saad. BUT Strome was definitely one of the better players this game which isn't saying much with any of our players not named Lehner.

Bowman flew in King Crab and rolls...not sure he could even open his jaws after the brutality he unleashed on that buffet table...heard a wheel barrel was needed to remove the Seabs...

I can't remember Hawks players looking so disorganized in a game. And not just at certain times. It was the case throughout. If there's a system in place they certainly aren't getting it.

They need a lecture on grasping systems from Nagy/Trubisky.

They should have, yes. They had a chance to do a soft rebuild the summer after the 2015 Cup but they didn't make that decision. Panarin covered up a metric ton of flaws.

Cant even blame JC. After a game like this you cant go with the same lineup.

Nashville is clearly a much better team than us so playing a good game against them is going to be inherently a lot more difficult but HOLY HELL...

1) Toews is punching in and punching out every shift now. It looks like he can’t wait to get off the ice.

2) whatever this team is doing offensively needs to be changed. Lackadaisical dump-ins, awful zone entries, cycle game sucks, no skill or creativity. They look like the opposite of dangerous whenever they’ve got the puck

3) I’m starting to buy into the idea that the Hawks are not physical enough. Not even in the sense that they’re not hitting guys, but they are constantly getting out-muscled and/or out-worked which I think has cascading effects on the rest of our offensive.

Again, Nashville is a great defensive team so to get through them you have to out work them and the Hawks we’re having none of that tonight. It’s hard to generate any sort of offense when they’re getting shoved off pucks and getting pushed around down low. Which I think is why they gave up 51 shots and only put up 20 (???) themselves.

4) Defense, PK, and Lehner all looked pretty good tonight so at least there’s that.

Musta missed the game - must be an old man snoozing - but had a terrible nightmare, dreamt was back in 2017 1st round POs where the Preds just annihilated, steam rolled, and/or destroyed the Hawks. Sure I'm gonna wake up from this scary dream soon ...

I have no clue why he got doghoused. Instead Toews and Kane got to dick around on the ice for 20 minutes each.
