Lalonde was quite clear about his reasons for the "A"s. He felt that the new FA's that were brought in, were as much for their leadership as their ability to give the team greater depth and defensive/scoring potential. Also, the younger players who "could" have gotten an "A", he felt that with all the new faces and the new coaches, plus with them still being young in the league, that they had lots of time to deal with the leadership aspects of the NHL. But he also said that having Larkin as a "true" captain, allows him to handle the "A"s a bit differently than some other teams might have. The assistant captains fluidity (?) seems odd but the team has bigger problems.
It's too bad Arvid is in Chicago's system. I think he would be a solid add to GR.

Are you really willing to take that chanceThat was probably when they were all preteens.

You're assuming normal scale. Maybe their family of goliaths had a 16' x 8' net custom built for their enormous rink.too small

The Legion of Doom at 1997:
John LeClair 6'3 - Eric Lindros 6'4 - Mikael Renberg 6'2
Red Wings 3rd line at 2022:
Elmer Söderblom 6'8 - Michael Rasmussen 6'6 - Oskar Sundqvist 6'3
This will be so fun.
There is just a little difference in quality of player there. Just a tiny tiny bit.
Anyone have a good way to check or any good guesses if this is the combined tallest line ever iced in the NHL?The Legion of Doom at 1997:

It would almost have to be. Very few forwards have been taller than 6'5" and the average of this line is 6'5" and change.Anyone have a good way to check or any good guesses if this is the combined tallest line ever iced in the NHL?
