On April 21st 2016, and era did end.

We were last time at the playoffs and Datsyuk was gonna retire from NHL.

It was obvious that our run will end on that day.

I was reallly lucky, my Finnish favourite team Tappara won a Championship week after, after 13 years of fails and 3 lost finals in-a-row. Can you imagine what a fan has to live through? Almost a Buffalo Bills fan... Final loss -13, Final loss -14, Final Loss -15, and then Finally winning it at -16. And repeating it at -17.

But my NHL heart has also been at Detroit Red Wings for more than 25 years.

I've waited this evening for these damn 6.5 years. The TANK era is gone. We are legit again. This team will push for the playoffs.

This will be a great night.

This team is much improved after some new forum additions to insulate the core and getting rid of some of the dead weight that dragged us down in GDTs last season. I also think we can rest much easier once @Bench signs a multi-year extension as mod that will put him through some of his UFA years.

@Bench is a member of the Goaltender union so that is a big factor in the speed of his game.
