Any team that has Lindstrom starting on their defense is going to be a team that struggles. Plain and simple.

I think Lindstrom will be an interesting case study this year. Not that I have lofty expectations, but a relatively nondescript 3rd pairing defenseman should be a good player to determine:

1) what impact there is by adding Chiarot and Maatta (i.e., does a guy get any better when properly slotted - aka The Dekeyser Theory)
2) what impact a new coaching staff can have (i.e., does a guy get any better with a different scheme)

Kubalik isn't playing with Larionov and Holmstrom, that would be very generous to Erne and Veleno

Not sure why there's speculation or dissatisfaction about Zadina managing his game. The very next sentence in the article says it's about limiting turnovers and playing more responsible hockey.

Put the players on notice that they either meet the expectation or they sit out. No issue with that whatsoever.

this is nice. last year only had larkin and bertuzzi to rely on going into the season. now we have 2 guys that were 2nd line guys last season, fighting for a job on the 3rd line. thats a good problem to have.
