We traded one of the best snipers in the NHL for a 3rd line center, a Dorsset, and Moore.

Brassard needed a change of scenary

Moore is a key , he's a good young talented D

but I wanted a first........sixth is ugh
 
Well this makes my username irrelevant... the **** what an odd trade. I kinda like it though, we get much needed depth back
 
We basically gave up Gaborik AA Dubi Erixon and our 1st for Nash and brassard. Did Glenn ask us to bend over before he ****ed us?
 
A horrible trade honestly...give up one of the top 5 Rws in the game for a second line center...a grinder...and a defenseman? Is he any good at least?
 
Moore and Brassard I like. I wanted a 1st rounder back for him though. Mixed emotions right now.
 
Great trade. Wish Gaborik the best, and he will tear it up in CLB.

Torts will find a way to destroy the new lineup he's been given.
 
Not impressed with return but I think this clears a couple mill to make another move ? At the same rate, all the people bemoaning the trade can look at the numbers, Gabby is having an off season, he's got 1 year left at 7.5. Say next year is off too ? Then what ?

Yeah, well he stirs up a lot of ****. Fearless. An absolute gamer. And the last couple seasons he's started to score a bit.

With Clowe and Dorsett the Rangers are acknowledging that they have a soft ****ing team. Columbus started winning for a reason. One reason is these guys play for each other. We added skill but at the expense of character. Now we're getting some character back at the expense of skill offset by Brassard who is a very good player and Moore who hopefully will get his game together. He's a really good skating defenseman with very good size. Whether he replaces Hamrlik or goes to Hartford I don't know--but he could probably use more seasoning.
 
Think the team has much better balance now... 4 legit centers all placed where they should be.

Dorsett looks to be a great get. One of those players you typically can't find a way to acquire.

If someone could explain the 50 contract situation that would be great. Hopefully we see Pyatt leave.
 
I don't understand this trade at all........
I'm disappointed at what we got in return for a legitimate goal scorer who happened to have an off-year. I'll miss you, Gabby. :(
 
I like it. Gaborik was aging, expensive, and on his last legs here. We get a decent depth return and, more importantly, cap space.
 
We replace Dubi with an upgraded version of him in Clowe. We replace Prust with a cheaper version in Dorsett. We deal an overpaid and underperforming player and get a really nice, young D-man back. I'm sold.
