This is so depressing, I don't even know what to say. I want to punch a stranger, and I don't usually have a violent bone in my body.

You don't know much about these players do you?

Moore is the wild card here kid can fly and move the puck but head needs to be clear ..Dorset is a lot like Prust ny will love him ..

I am beyong excited to add Dorsett.

Fans are going to like Brassard and Dorsett. Moore has a lot of potential.

The reality is Gaborik was awful this year. He's got one year left. Shoulder is probably still an issue. If Gaborik isn't hitting twine, he's effectively useless. And he wasn't hitting twine. So there ya go.

Moore is the wildcard but with his speed and skating he could be a VERY good defenseman. Something this team lacks. A puck-rusher.

The worst offensive team trades for a player with no goals, then trades away Marian Gaborik.

I...um....the ****?

Stop it, please, just stop. Why the **** would fleecing a team in a deal last year cause us to have to give up a superstar for three role players this year???

This is obviously a trade to get better depth on our roster, but its horrendous. These players can be gotten in the offseason through free agency, there is no reason to trade Gaborik for this return.

Gaborik + Depth = Good team last year
Gaborik + Nash - Depth = Bad team this year
Nash + Depth = Good team?

We'll find out. I think we're better off going forward with these two deals than with just the first one.

I don't mind the concept of the trade, but I am not sure that we make this deal if Brassard wasn't a former high pick. Is he a good player? He is the piece that gotta "count".

I guess Sather is gearing up for next year and writing this season off.

Gaborik contributed exactly one more point than Brassard. The swap maintains the status quo for us. If Dorsett does come back he's great sandpaper. It's far from giving up on this season.

I have no formed opinions on this move. I'm incredibly sad because Gabby was my favorite player on the team. This is seriously one of my least favorite Ranger moments ever, even though I feel this trade makes sense.

Dorsett is a nice piece.

I'm not happy with giving up a ****ing 40-goal-scorer for a Brandon Prust-lite.

I'm pissed.

We replace Dubi with an upgraded version of him in Clowe. We replace Prust with a cheaper version in Dorsett. We deal an overpaid and underperforming player and get a really nice, young D-man back. I'm sold.

Thank you for looking at the realistic side of this. Besides I'm not sold that Gaborik is ever going to be 100% of the player he was before his injury.

Can someone explain how a message board full of people who trashed Gaborik endlessly has now turned into a place that worships the player?

I'm probably the minority but I won't miss Gaborik much. He drove me nuts and I didn't see much from his game this year that made me think he was going to bounce back.

We'll see on the return. I think it's more than he's worth, but I thought he'd fetch more. If that makes sense. Love getting Moore. Surprised we didn't get our 1st rounder back.
