i like our C depth a lot more now. Stepan, Richards, Brassard, Boyle looks much better than it did yesterday. I think the team is better now and has a better shot at going deep in the playoffs than it did yesterday morning.

So we traded Gaborik for a 40-50 point center, an injured third liner, a struggling defensive prospect, and a 6th? I was okay with the idea of moving Gaborik for the right return. I don't think this is the right return.
 
Also Katie Strang says Dorsett should be back end of April in time for the playoffs. That's actually great!
 
I can't support this trade. I really, really like Gabby and this is outrageous! We're definitely not going for the cup this year then.. Clowe is supposed to fill the void of Gabby's goals? Unbelievable.

Wonder how badly Gaborik wanted out from NY for him to waive his NTC to Columbus.
 
I thought the whole point of bringing nash in was so he could provide secondary scoring to gaborik. I know gaborik is having an off year but really....right back to the same secondary scoring problems they had last year.
 
I'm shocked....we gave up the best player for....depth....and we couldn't even get back a L.As 1st. This can just as easily blow up in our faces. Wow...the whole team looks so different.

Moore is a heck of a defensive prospect. If he pans out you are looking at a McD lite.
 
Moore can be a great D man for us. He's young and skates really well. Brassard had a tough time in CLB but can really provide us with some solid C depth which we need. Dorsett is a scrappy, gritty guy who was a "heart and soul" player for the Jackets. With Clowe in the mix we actually just got a lot deeper and grittier when the dust settles. I think I actually like it.

Just pissed we didn't get a 1st back.

What ever happened to the two year window with Nash AND GABORIK???!!!!

I love Gabby. First Dubinsky and Anisimov and now Gaborik? My heart can't take it.
 
I like it. Gaborik was out anyway. I like the return. I see a commitment to Torts in this trade.

We definitely needed a spark. Hopefully this will be it.
