WIth all this bottom 6 and grinders, I guess Torts is going anywhere.

I'm glad I had my signature as "Hire Torts" instead of "Fire Torts" :sarcasm:

If you ever wanted to see what the 2012 Blue Jackets would look like with Henrik Lundqvist, man, I've got a treat for you.

So monumentally stupid.

Jam.

CBJ fan here in peace.

I think you guys will like Dorse. Good PK guy, tough as nails, not afraid to drop the gloves with anyone, high energy, and just a damn likable guy. He picked his game up quite a bit last season, and looked good again this season until the injury. He was a fan favorite here.

Brass was, well, dissapointing. He shows flashes of brilliance, and then disapears. Hope a change of scenery helps him out.

Moore is the guy I hate to see go. Great skater and passer, with up-side still coming. Played well for us last season, and so far this season. Erixon's play, and Murray coming in next year made him expendable. You should get plenty of good years out of John.

Hope Gaborik can break out of his funk for the next three weeks or so. This team is going to need the Gaborik of old to beat out some of these other teams for a play-off spot.

Take good care of Gabi, plz.

What have you done for me lately?

Clowe will magically return to form and put up 50 points next year.

Gaborik is an overpaid lump on a log and worth a mediocre return, however.

Makes sense.

Again: Clowe was hurt. What's Gabby's excuse?

Don't worry. I'll wait. I'm sure it will start with T and end with orts. The answer for everything when you don't really have an answer for anything.

I know people are going to disagree with me, but I personally believe most of this gets prevented with Prust staying in the off-season.

I mentioned him. ;) Prout's been a nice found for CBJ. I do wonder if the Rangers tried to acquire him, but they did need the puck moving aspect of Moore's game, along with his mobility.

You did, my bad. I was wondering how all 3 of you could miss him, you get extra credit :p:

Rangers havent been able to score with Torts here... They've changed people in and out all over the place, there's one constant that remains.. Why wouldn't we think it was him?

Yup. Our second line will still consist of Richards centering people he has no chemistry with. And our new wonderful 3rd line center will be saddled with some combination of Boyle/Clowe/Hagelin. This is still a one line team.

I kind of like the balance of this lineup:
Hagelin-Stepan-Nash
Clowe-Richards-Zucc
Powe-Brassard-Callahan
Asham(/Dorsett)-Boyle-Pyatt

I am not sure where Kreider, JT Miller, Fasth and Lindberg will fit in though... ;)

What does that mean? He will be bought out this summer or next. It's just too expensive and cap crippling down the road not to.

Whether it's this summer or the next, Richards wise, I'd love it if the sentiment around here is to just let this god damn season play out. From being our best player in the PO aside from Henrik to being called a garbage player that poisons the locker room, the anti-Richards crap is nonsense. Anyone ever see a bad season before?

Well, I don't think Prust makes Gabby not suck. I do think having him may have been able to keep us from trading for Clowe, though. Perhaps. It's iffy. Because we are replacing both Dubi and Prust with Clowe. We do miss him, but I don't think he would have prevented 1) Gabby from sucking and 2) us missing Dubi.

I don't see how anyone can support that this move makes us a better team. Do we not remember what was our achilles heel last season?

Teams will now square in on Nash in the playoffs as they did with Gabby. Being our only source of offense, Nash will struggle to score, and we'll go back to playing in 1-goal games.

Same story as last season. This weakens our offense, and hurts our potential in the playoffs. "Jam" you could find on the waiver wire, or FA. You don't trade gamebreakers for roster depth.

Buffalo got a 1st and 2nd with two prospects for Pomminville

not sure why Sather couldnt get atleast a 2nd back for Gaborik............that's the only thing that I dont like about the deal. The Depth should help

Uhhh.....how about major offseason shoulder surgery, which notoriously saps a players power and strength. Even when Gabby played poorly in the past, he didn't look like this. Last game was one of the only times I saw him get off a few of his classic low snap shots. His legs are fine, he just doesn't play well injured.

I'm on fire. This makes me hate Richard's 1000x more, which I didn't think was possible.

Did you follow the team last year? I am serious with that question. You do understand that Gabby scored 40 last year, right? You do know that Torts was his coach last year, right? You do know our system has not changed much, right?

So, I will re-present the question since you did not get it. What is Gabby's excuse this year for his attrocious play? Do not say Torts, because that's not the answer (except to the people who have no answers -- and I am sure you'd want to avoid being lumped into that group).

well zucc will probably be gone next year and hopefully boyle and pyatt so i would hopefully they will fill in. Hopefully Torts doesnt keep screwing up their development

Right now, Brassard brings more offense than Gaborik.

What have teams been doing this year? I'm confused....
