CBJ fan here in peace.
I think you guys will like Dorse. Good PK guy, tough as nails, not afraid to drop the gloves with anyone, high energy, and just a damn likable guy. He picked his game up quite a bit last season, and looked good again this season until the injury. He was a fan favorite here.
Brass was, well, dissapointing. He shows flashes of brilliance, and then disapears. Hope a change of scenery helps him out.
Moore is the guy I hate to see go. Great skater and passer, with up-side still coming. Played well for us last season, and so far this season. Erixon's play, and Murray coming in next year made him expendable. You should get plenty of good years out of John.
Hope Gaborik can break out of his funk for the next three weeks or so. This team is going to need the Gaborik of old to beat out some of these other teams for a play-off spot.
What have you done for me lately?
Clowe will magically return to form and put up 50 points next year.
Gaborik is an overpaid lump on a log and worth a mediocre return, however.
Makes sense.
I haven't been on HF since before the trade so pardon me if this has been asked, even though it probably was already. Am I the only one who thinks we didn't get enough or at least a defenseman?
Moore is a good young d-man.
I mentioned him.Prout's been a nice found for CBJ. I do wonder if the Rangers tried to acquire him, but they did need the puck moving aspect of Moore's game, along with his mobility.
Considering that last year's team was amongst the best in the league, and this year's team is now comprised of 15% of the worst team, yea, I think there is a difference.
Again: Clowe was hurt. What's Gabby's excuse?
Don't worry. I'll wait. I'm sure it will start with T and end with orts. The answer for everything when you don't really have an answer for anything.
Yup. Our second line will still consist of Richards centering people he has no chemistry with. And our new wonderful 3rd line center will be saddled with some combination of Boyle/Clowe/Hagelin. This is still a one line team.
What does that mean? He will be bought out this summer or next. It's just too expensive and cap crippling down the road not to.
I know people are going to disagree with me, but I personally believe most of this gets prevented with Prust staying in the off-season.
One thing is for sure:
Torts is goin nowhere.

#NYR Told there is a possibility that Brassard makes it in time for game tonight. En route to NYC
Rangers havent been able to score with Torts here... They've changed people in and out all over the place, there's one constant that remains.. Why wouldn't we think it was him?
well zucc will probably be gone next year and hopefully boyle and pyatt so i would hopefully they will fill in. Hopefully Torts doesnt keep screwing up their developmentI kind of like the balance of this lineup:
Hagelin-Stepan-Nash
Clowe-Richards-Zucc
Powe-Brassard-Callahan
Asham(/Dorsett)-Boyle-Pyatt
I am not sure where Kreider, JT Miller, Fasth and Lindberg will fit in though...![]()
I don't see how anyone can support that this move makes us a better team. Do we not remember what was our achilles heel last season?
Teams will now square in on Nash in the playoffs as they did with Gabby. Being our only source of offense, Nash will struggle to score, and we'll go back to playing in 1-goal games.
Same story as last season. This weakens our offense, and hurts our potential in the playoffs. "Jam" you could find on the waiver wire, or FA. You don't trade gamebreakers for roster depth.
