Mediocrity? Really? You think these players are mediocre?

Yes.

Brassard is a 26 year old center who has not yet broken 50 points, and is currently on pace for ~43 points. It's not like he's an elite shutdown center that has tons of non-scoring intangibles either.

Dorsett is a Prust-lite. Nice piece, but not for a 40-goal scorer. A nice piece in a Olli Jokinen trade maybe.

Moore is a wildcard. Current third pairing d-man with potential to be a 2nd pairing d-man. For us, will be a third pairing d-man at best with Staal, McDonagh, Girardi, Del Zotto, and for the immediate future, Stralman, ahead of him. Plays the right side. Doesn't help our PP in anyway.

Mediocre.

I'm not happy with Dorsey's injury at all. We needed his intensity for the playoff push.

Brassard has been mediocre his entire career. People here keep talking about his upside, people have been talking about his upside for years now. When is that upside coming?

I'm unimpressed. I'll be sitting here waiting to eat my words on him.

I think what you see is what you get, apparently some fans believe he is in the David Perron, Mike Ribiero mold of playmakers with filthy hands, but I haven't seen enough of him through the years to know much. Probably a better +/- on the Rangers.

When Nash was in Columbus, they were mediocre. That's sort of like, why he was coming here instead.

He has been playing for Columbus. Nash was not a ppg player either. He looks pretty good.

The same Columbus that is in a very similar playoff position as the Rangers.

Nash is Nash and he's not looked all that much better than he has in Columbus namely because Richards has been sucking and he never found chemistry with anyone other than players you would have found similarly on the Jackets in years past. I still love the Nash trade.

This trade, not so much. Not because I thought Gaborik was doing anything this year, but because I thought they could do better at the draft, and would have rather seen a first rounder coming back.

Mediocre.

Brassard is 25. 40-50 point center on terrible Columbus teams as of now.

Dorsett is not a Prust-lite. Prust is Dorsett-lite.

Moore has 2nd paring potential. Nothing to scoff at.

I understand that Gaborik needed to go, but the best thing he got in return was a 6th round pick?

Wow.

A shame Columbus didn't accept Gaborik for Anisimov, Duby, Erixon, and a first.

Did you not see the trade? The worst thing he got in return was a 6th round pick.

I disagree with that. The guy is already a NHL defenseman. He has top-4 upside as well. 3rd round?

There's a reason he was available.

Think about what team traded him. Ya think they could use some high end skill on the backend? Every team does, but the BJ's should be stockpiling those guys, instead JK & JD took a look at their team and decided this was a guy they could afford to deal.

I would have asked for Dalton Prout, RH tough, alot like Mark Stuart of the Jets. I hope we had tried to pry him away and had to settled for Moore.

Love the trade. Slats is getting our grit back. Dorsett back by end of April. Gabby had some good years here but I just don't see him performing well in the war known as the NHL Playoffs.

Moore also has pro and minor pro experience, huge for the defenseman. This is the 1st round pick, and one thats further along than one in 2013. Voted 2nd best skater in 2009 draft, behind you know who.
