Prospect Info: The First Annual Jaster Prospect Ranking List

I don't know enough about all the prospects, but I see MBN as a power forward who loves to throw his body around. That's a valuable asset, can you put any of the other prospects in the same category or are they smaller guys?

Yeah, much like here, I wasn’t a huge poster there but I remember Jaster, @heyfolks, this guy named Euroman and there was this dude who was OBSESSED with Jiri Hudler lol. Fun times.
I am so glad some people remember and know the posters from the rwc board.
I am not sure I remember any names except for maybe Ron and Ryan.
Ron hated European players, if I remember right. And Ryan criticised Yzerman and the the whole board hated him for that.
I think I remember George Malik. If that was his name. And I believe he is on X now and has become well known.
I myself have been on all those boards letsgowings included and I have always used the same name Ari.

Do you think he could end up a winger to take advantage of his skating/shooting?

Or are you pretty convinced he will be a center on lines 1-3?

I remember seeing Danielson play in his draft year and thining there is more here than meets the eye. I always thought he was more skilled than the scoring reports on him let on.

I’m a little underwhelmed at the lack of points and specifically goals when it comes to Danielson’s play this year. But then again I’ve seen a decent amount of clips of him making skilled player, and as Petes said with Kasper, sometimes you just want to see those flashes when these guys are playing their first season at a higher level.
Definitely a center. Prototypical coaches dream; extremely coachable, prides himself in his effort, and does the work off the ice. He was also immediately a leader once traded to Portland, showing younger players tips and tricks he's learned along the way

He's said himself he grew up loving trying to steal pucks from his brother when they play keep away. He also said he loves shutting opposing players down. Perfect player to have down the middle with how he gets up and down the ice so quick

Remnants of RWC have survived. There are a handful of us who have hopped from server to server together. We are currently over at Red Wings Now. If you were around back when it was Matthew Wuest's Red Wings Central, you may recognize a couple people, though a handful of us have changed our names over the years. I don't even remember my username from back in the Wuest days.

1. Sandin-Pellikka
2. Danielson
3. Augustine
4. Cossa
5. Brandsegg-Nygard
6. Buchelnikov
7. Mazur
8. Buium
9. Wallinder
10. Lombardi
11. Plante
12. Kiiskinen
13. Finnie
14. James
15. Noah Dower-Nilsson

To add some notes. This is my first time slotting Buium ahead of Wallinder. You can tell Buium really just processes the game right. I’m more confident in him having an NHL future over Wallinder at this point. Tuomisto I ultimately left off the last couple spots as I just don’t see a potential NHL skillset there. I struggled with the last two spots and could easily be convinced to replace James and Dower-Nilsson for the final two spots in the top 15 with several guys.

One of the closest I think is Finnie, although he is still smaller than MBN (was playing in the 190ish pound range as an 18 Y.O.), but he is unafraid of a shoulder first game.

I haven't watched him closely since he was a midget player (I moved back east a few years ago), but as a kid you could tell if he got some size to him, he would be a player if he stuck with it.

I have a few buddies (most who played in the WHL or higher) back out west who have season tickets a few different cities, they keep tabs on players for me, (a great way to keep in touch), they seem to agree he is a good bet to make it.

On my personal rankings, MBN is 4 and Finnie is 6, but to be fair to several I have ranked lower, I have not laid eyes on them too much.

But I can see both MBN and Finnie as being part of the wings (not to soft to play against) future is a few years time.

People seem to be sleeping on Kiiskinen. 6’1” 190 lbs, PPG in Liiga as a 19 year old. PPG and second leading goal scorer in WJC. Best producing player in Liiga since the WJC.

Was that the board that had the poster looking for a "Nyquist explosion?"

That term always cracked me up.
