G Zach Fucale (2013, 36th, MTL)

This thread has been pretty quiet in the finals

2-2 3.72GAA .887Save%

Pulled tonight in favor of Booth who stopped 9 of 9

a good bounce back game from him last night, he's won 14 of his last 17 starts, although I can understand why some don't think too much of him as his rebound control is really bad at times. He's got a lot of work to do there imo.

Who's watching QC vs. RIM game 7? Fucale with some amazing saves in OT. Desrosiers also playing great. Fun to watch, heading to 2OT now.

He's a good part of the reason RIM didnt bury a lot chances that were pretty much guaranteed goals. How long before someone chimes in that ".. the goalie has to be the best penalty killer " and thats how the game finished with him getting scored on a PP.

What a game though.

Even though he lost, I think he proved that he has so much potential and performs in big games. He might not be an NHL star but I think he has what it takes to be a starter like Fleury.

He was stellar in game 7, and made some amazing saves in OT. Didn't have much of a chance on the winning goal.

Didn't like his performance in the 3rd period of game 6 though. He should have shut the door and win his team the Cup.

Habs are in no rush to trade him…especially not for a late round pick. Fucale is an intriguing prospect that has high upside, but that has had a year with some ups and downs. They'll let him develop in St John's for a few years and see what happens. I could obviously see him being packaged in a deal for an established top 6 forward though.

He actually played well tonight. The team in front of him was garbage. Plus, do you expect a goalie to win EVERY big game with no loses?
