Faced 51 shots, yikes!, Sudbury gets the W, UPL gets the 3rd star against OHL power house Niagara IceDogs.
Even though 4 goals against, his save % was . 922, his EV was 48/51 (.941).

Faced almost 40 shots this time, 2 goals against, SOL for UPL and the Wolves. (2nd star selection).
Wolves D has left UPL kinda alone there in the net recently. - holding the fort by himself it seems

Sound like he's in the wrong league.

He should be playing where? He's getting a ton of games on North American sized ice and facing hard scoring chances every game because his team sucks without him. Any other elite goalie his age in NA would be playing junior or college. Apparently his chances of getting a decent amount of Liiga games this season were very slim, there's no rush he will be playing pro somewhere next season.

He should be playing in Sudbury Wolves, OHL, until the season's over.

Oh look, he is. Good.

Before tonight's game UPL played 4 games with 1.65 GAA and .935 sv% while facing 103 shots.

UPL and the Wolves got the W in a battle between 2 top teams Oshawa Generals and Sudbury Wolves
(Sudbury Wolves a top team....that still doesn't sound right) UPL faced 28 shots, 4 goals against,
Wolves led the game 4-0, but ended up winning eventually 5-4.

Although, from 4 goals that was scored on him, 2 were PP goals and one was a penalty shot.

2 games left (not sure does UPL play in those games)

Almost a 40 W debut season, .920 sv%, 2.45 goals against avg, while facing 31 shots per game
for a team that's been the CHL joke for a long time.
(last season: 17-42-9-0, GD: -100 | this season: 42-19-3-2, GD: +52)

Most SO's in the OHL
Most Wins
Best SV%
2nd best GAA, after DiPietro (Dipietro 38 games, UPL 51 games)
3rd fewest goals against, total (goalies with 34 games or more)
5th most shots faced per game
6th most games played
7th most shots faced, total

He seems like the real deal. What is the projection, does he play another season for the Wolves or is he ready to make the leap for the pros?

He should be playing in Sudbury Wolves, OHL, until the season's over.

Oh look, he is. Good.

Upi-Wan really should come back to HPK next season. They´ll be short of goalies once Larmi is leaving.

The Red Tilson Trophy goes to the "most outstanding player". Technically that makes it more like the NHL's Ted Lindsay Award (outstanding player) than the Hart Trophy (MVP). It is voted on by hockey writers like the Hart while the Lindsay is voted on by players, though. The distinction being that UPL might be seen as the player most valuable to his team while not being the best player in the league, meaning no award for him as it isn't an MVP award.

Edit: Guess I was late on my reply!
