Do you guys think going straight to the AHL is better for him than going back to Finland for a year or two?
To be honest, even going back to Sudbury would be a good option. Goalies need time. I'd prefer him to stay in North America now that he's here - but not sure the AHL is the best move - he needs to play a ton of games. Maybe an ECHL/AHL combined schedule to make sure he gets 50 games.
Made his AHL debut today beating a Belleville team that needed to win to make the playoffs. Stopped 32/34.
Good prospect. He's developing pretty well
Yes. Part of the reason he came to play in CHL was to adjust to smaller rinks. AHL is his next stop for sure. I doubt he'll return to Finland unless he fails to establish himself as an NHLer.Do you guys think going straight to the AHL is better for him than going back to Finland for a year or two?
He is in some of the best hands in the world when it comes to goalie coaching.TPS has a well-deserved reputation for developing goaltenders (most recently the Rangers' Alexandar Georgiev).
