Luukkonen's Wolves lost again, 7th loss in a row without UPL, yikes.

Before the WJC, 8 game win streak, first place in the Conference
After 7 game losing streak, in the brink of falling out of the play-offs...

Quite the performance. I'll never try to predict u20 goalies ever again.
He really has improved alot. The only major issue he still has is that he seems to have trouble with reacting to unexpected situations. Does not seem to handle scrambles and broken plays so well. But if he gets to prepare for something he expects, he seems rock solid. Really impressive with everything considered. It'll be interesting to see where he is at in a year.

Still in a home ice advantage position is on the brink of falling out of the playoffs? Weird.

UPL gets another SO, his 2nd in 3 games since returning from WJC, he also gets an assist.
- since return: record 3-0-0-0 | 1.00 GAA | .966 sv% | 2 SO | 71 shots faced

I followed him closely in the WJC and in his previous games before crossing the pond. I must say, not only has UPL displayed immense growth, but he truly seems to be a difference maker and impose a sense of calmness into his team mates. An interesting prospect indeed. An NHL career is never guaranteed, but UPL is sure making a strong case for being an amazing goaltender even in the NHL.

The biggest thing I find is he's extremely active with his stick in the crease. The few times he does give up rebounds, he's already sweeping them out of the crease. I was not fully sold on his earlier this season. But at this point I honestly think he's the best goalie in the CHL.

His ability bouncing back from bad games, bad stretch's..simply amazing.

January (+ 1st day of February) alone. Has a bad game, lets in 3 goals with 26 saves, next game; a SO
some time later, lets in 10 goals in 2 games, game after that; another SO, some time after that, has a bad game,
4 goals with 20 saves, next 2 games; saves 63/64 shots.

UPL and the Wolves gets the W over the 2nd place IceDogs, 3-2.
- gets the 1st star selection after facing 34 shots.

This is nice to look at:

One of those games that makes one humble and keeps your cockiness in check.

UPL & the Wolves gets battered 10-4 at home by the SOO, i'm guessing people can figure out from the score
that UPL's stats from this game weren't great :help: (no empty netters)
- Interesting to see his bounce back ability again -
