G Thatcher Demko (2014, 36th, VAN)

Still 0.911 for the season and 28th best goalie in AHL. There are 7 better rookie goalies in AHL this season.

First 6 appearances Demkos stats were: 3.81 GAA, 0.865 Sv%

Last 6 appearances Demko's stats are: 1.37 GAA 0.951 Sv%

Guy just needed a little bit of time to adjust. He's been looking great recently, hopefully he can keep it up.

Demko has put up a 0.937 in his last 8 games clearly settling in after a pretty ****** first 4 games as a pro (0.861)

He is 0.948 in his last 6 games since he's taken over from Bachman as the starter.

Funny, I have it the other way around

Juolevi = bluechip, and in the top 3 of defensemen prospects not in the NHL

Boeser = Just a Good Prospect
Same here, Juolevi to me is a blue chip. And Boeser is just a really good prospect

Top 10-15 drafted prospect at their position, so Juolevi easily is.

No.. Those would be really good prospects. Blue chip implies they have future star potential at their position and are likely to hit it. So guys like Matthews, Laine, Marner, Werenski, Provorov, etc etc.

IMO, a blue chip prospect should have a reasonable arguement to be a top 3 prospect for their position.

Cherry picking stats is ghastly for a position that requires "winning start" as a basic requirement. We are talking about a position that counts success over multiple seasons...

0.914 and climbing. Wake me when the kid passes 93%.

Yawn. Cory Schneider never passed 93% in the AHL...some people seriously have stupid expectations for what makes a prospect blue chip.

We cherry picked the first 4 games out because they were his FIRST 4 pro games. He's trending amazingly since then. It's not ghastly, god how dramatic do you need to be.

Demko is on a ****ing tear.

7-1-0/1.86 GAA/0.936 SV% in his last eight

On the worst team IMO in the AHL

LMFAO not even corey schneider had 93%

he was awful at the start of his AHL career, and then turned it up, EXACTLY what demko is doing.

The guy is easily the best goaltending prospect on the planet. The numbers he is putting up with this god awful utica team is amazing

He's looking good, but I'd hold off on that. Have you seen what Ilya Samsonov is doing?

I hope Demko looks good, as Leafs have a prospect following the same path as him and Cory Schneider. That USNDP-BC path looks pretty good.

Ridiculous. Binghamton and Rockford are definitely worse, Abbott can't even produce on that Rockford team.

Also Bakersfield is horrible, they have no depth at all

What about Juuse Saros? I'd say he's in contention for being one of the best goaltending prospects.

There are a lot of great goalie prospects right now. Saying this guy Demko is easily better than them is a bit much. He MIGHT be the best but there is no way he is easily the best.

I don't get what another players path or trajectory has got to do with anyone else? They are all different people and probably different on the ice as well.

The only similarities between Demko and Schneider is that both played for the same college and both got drafted by the same team. Very different style wise.

It shows to some extent they got quality coaching where they went, and in the case of BC they are good at identifying talent.
