Well our only hope in winning is to score 5 or more. So hope for lots of goals.

A dead even 4 GPG allowed on the season after last game. Which is laughably hilariously bad and that number alone pretty much will tell you that the season is cooked.

Unless we trade for some defense and a starting goalie like tomorrow, but we all know thats not happening.

I don't know why the team just doesn't run 4 duos and try to equally distribute the ice time between all 4 lines with the other 4 wingers rotating in on whatever lines work best for them.

Draisaitl-Kane
RNH-Brown
Mcleod-Foegele

Only load up after a PK, last minute faceoff in the Ozone or when the goalie is pulled. Let the duo's build chemistry in all game situations.

It funny, a memory came up on my Facebook from 9 years ago yesterday. It showed us Oilers fans with bags over our heads. I started thinking, except for 3 years , being an Oilers fan has been pretty painful since 2007. 90's were not the best. California Angels? Cleveland Browns? Buffalo Bills?

I dont wanna sound like a Debbie Downer but I dont think we can get outta this mess. we have over 14 mil tied up to Nurse and Campbell. McLeod is a waste of 2+ mil. He is a big disappointment. Our defence has been a mess for years.

I think think I threw up in my mouth (granted, I've really liked Hamblins game more than expected).

Ive been watching since 94 and all I have known as an Oilers fan is pain, misery and a defunct organization sucking the fumes of a dynasty long since past. Record wise in that time period we have the third worst.

Only ahead of the Islanders and the Blue Jackets. One could say we have been the worst just by how bad our management, drafting, developing, ownership has been.

Aren't we also better than Arizona over that span? I know, that's not necessarily something to brag about, but...

As for the rest of it, even when times looked the best (2006 cup run), the 2nd biggest gut punch ever followed only days after (Pronger trade demand) and the third biggest gut punch ever (Rollie injury)

(Had to keep the Gretzky trade as the biggest gut punch in franchise history).

Haha yah I forgot about the Coyotes. They have been pretty terrible themselves actually. Makes me feel slightly better

Yup I was a kid, too young to understand what was happening. Oilers are still my team though no matter how terrible they are.

I have to agree this team as it stands is screwed. Jeff Jackson needs to shake things up big time. Hopefully Mcdavid stays and we can trade Drai for a starting NHL goalie, a top 4 defenseman and some prospects. Thats what I would do anyway.

People love to bitch about Puljujarvi's production, but over the last three seasons, there is no other forward that McDavid had a higher goal scoring share with amongst teammates he played more than 100 minutes with. They didn't have high goal scoring rates, but they have terrific rates at preventing goals against and ultimately isn't that what matters most.... outscoring your opposition Who cares if it's only 2-1, would rather that than lose 4-3.

Puljujarvi actually had a defensive conscious. Probably why Mcdavid and Draisaitl hated playing with him so much.

Dynasty fumes.. imagine there's some bottled and aging in the wine cellar of Mr. Katz. When will he dip into the dusty premium reserves to offset this season's tragedy and realize his critical error of not cleaning house.

I find it quite funny how the whole verbal with JP playing with McDavid was that if you play with McDavid at some you have to produce. Meanwhile we are 18 games into a season where there's been only one GF in 108 minutes at 5 on 5 with McDavid on this ice without Draisaitl, and they are getting lit up when he's on the ice yielding a 16% goal share.

Give me the line that maybe doesn't score often enough but doesn't get scored against often either yielding a 60% goal share anyday over the line that literally never scores and gets lit up.
