Bettman gives the hundreds of thousands of Oilers fans in Canada the finger who can’t watch the game tomorrow afternoon.

Doesn’t matter that Canada supplies the league with 1/3 of its revenue despite having only 7 of 32 teams. Just keep sending that smug elvish asshole our cash so he can create even more sunbelt teams in tax free states with revenue sharing.

The way the Oilers are playing it’s probably for the best to let the 17 Capitals fans watch on TV while we work up here tomorrow.

For those that care here are the probable lines for tomorrows loss:

Looks like we’re heading towards another 11-7 so Broberg can get his 4 minutes of ice time to show us why he is a failed draft pick.

First line from last year finally reunited.
Second line from last year finally reunited minus Yamo. In his place we have The Invisible Man.

Third line is garbage as long as Teflon McLoed is allowed to be on it and not eating popcorn in the press box. Most useless player on the Oilers right now.

Fourth line will be Janmark and Gagner with an overplayed 29 and 97 rotating in at C is my guess.

Fire all the D into the sun. Need a complete retool there. Even Ekholm has been drinking the Oilers water.

Skinner starts so an auto loss unless we score 14.

Of course I jest. I am going to remain positive.

We will only need 8.

I'd put Foegele in Brown's place. He works well with Draisaitl, whose clearly struggling and Brown will only perpetuate that. Why not put all of the black holes together with Brown, McLeod and Janmark on the fourth...oops...third line.

Confidence is in the dumps for this team. It’s having a huge effect I think. Would be a good time for the Oilers to get their sports psychologist on the case. Oh wait, we don’t have one cause this team is incompetent.

Brown is a black hole right now. Has the odd good shift and hoping he finds his game at some point but by the time he does it might be too late.

Most organizations would farm him out to get 25 games in and let him find his game in the minors but the Oilers preach Loitly.

Gary slips, thinking the Oilers are in houston.

Your a Cog now?
What happened to Dog?

It was time to half ass the name, just like the Oilers would do.

After the San Jose game, almost every media outlet was pronouncing that Oilers have now 'hit rock bottom'. But we knew we still had lots of room to fall even further before we actually hit rock bottom.
Yesterday's game, to me, was rock bottom. That 1st period was the worst I've ever seen this roster play. Zero passion, zero resiliency and thinking too much instead of doing

People will say the only reason Edmonton outclassed Carolina in the 3rd period was because the Canes had a 3 goal lead, let off the gas and pretty much let us back in the game. I completely disagree. The Hurricanes were playing the same style, same speed and system in the 3rd , as they did in the previous 2 periods. But Edmonton flipped the switch and thoroughly dominated the last 20 minutes. They looked like the Oilers that won over 100 games in the last 2 years again

Now everyone one outside (and inside) of Edmonton has written us off. Season done, tank for 1st (again) and hope for yet another generational talent. Yet, there is still 80% season left, and our two nuclear superpowers remain dormant

imo, this is where the climb begins. The team is still recalibrating its identity under a new bench boss, as he's starting to figure out the discrepancies, weaknesses and strengths of his team. And it's only a matter of time before our two superpowers snap out of this very strange trance they appear to be in. When they do, gg NHL

Pickard looked good, especially for a goalie getting his first NHL start in 2 years. Give him a couple more games to recalibrate himself, and maybe we can depend on him for at least a .900 save %. That's all we need, an average NHL goaltender. I really hated how Skinner looked yesterday, especially on the 2 on1, with absolutely zero effort to try and stop it, but instead gives Bouchard a dirty look. He needs to be humbled again, hungry and pressured to keep his job

skinner again? he’s trash. As bad as campbell. when is management going to realize this? Team keeps getting deflated because he’s continuing to let everything in.

Pikard at least has held his own his first few games. Obviously he’s not a long term answer but short term he could help until they get an actual starter.
