What dead cap space will there be with a 1 year 1m deal? And the other guys are whale signings or for exposing in the expansion draft. The real moves are coming down the road. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of JJ. But it's really almost irrelevant in the scheme of things.

Good thing it is just one year but they've had dead cap for multiple years now. More cap space is an asset we could've used during the rebuild. And of course, the big moves are down the road but it doesn't mean you shouldn't try to keep improving the team for the longterm, even with small smart depth moves now. I'm not satisfied because the riches we have now could have and should have been even bigger now.

We are pretty stacked on the wings so Fast is not the biggest loss, but our depth takes a huge hit if Kakko, Lemieux and Gauthier dont take big steps and Laf and Kravstov have rookie struggles.

Because on paper and if all goes well Panarin, Kreider, Buchnevich, Kakko, Laf, Lemieux, Kravstov and Gauthier is one of the best wing group in the league.

They are up against the cap. 4 guys are going to arbitration. We weren't going to be players in the UFA market this year. Things are going according to plan...but the plan will take time. I can't remember the last time I was this excited about the future of this team.

Well they tried to trade up again for Zegras last year with Edmonton and Edge reported Lundell was 6th on their board this year; they would have picked 10th or 11th so it was basically him or Perfetti.
