In what world would Sergachev cost thay much?

Refer to my post above which I'm going to copy here. The last sentence of paragraph one and all of paragraph two are not my opinion but fact. What would Briesbois by asking for is my question to everyone here? What would Gorton be offering too?

"I'm not saying Gorton would or I would. Maybe it's how my brain works or my kwirky communication skills but anytime I propose a realistic trade thread on this board it's always coming from the POV of the other GM and the "Rangers Bias" that every trade they make has.

Rangers Bias for all of those who aren't familiar is the equivalent of paying 1.5 to 2 times the value which comes from a combo of historic trades that actually occurred and the "Win Now/Fast Pace/New York Minute" perception that comes from being based in this region."

A 1st and 3rd after he signs an offer sheet and Tampa can't match.

a 1st and 3rd would max at $6,544,640 and I think they match less than that without hesitation and then figure it out...we can't make offer sheets in the next 2 groups and we aren't giving him $10.9 mil. so the only realistic option is to trade for his rights if tampa can't sign him.

Alright here’s your update:

Rangers made an offer for Wennberg. Wasn’t higher than Florida’s.

Suspect a similar deal is on the table for Granlund.

ADA obviously unlikely to go to Calgary now, but a deal with them isn’t dead.

Keep an eye on LA and St. Louis when it comes to ADA discussions.

No interest in Johnson at this time.

Monitoring Sergachev

thanks a bunch for the updates hope the interest in Johnson remains no forever.
And like other posters saying I like Dunn too but it would hurt to trade ADA for Dunn unless the Rangers feel like he could be a good fit with Trouba.
Dunn has the track record of having a good 2019 cup run that’s for sure

There is no Ranger bias. A player of Sergachev's calibre would never get 3 A level pieces (Lundkvist, Kravstov and the 1st) and 2 B level pieces (Buch and Barron).
Start with a first, Lundkvist, Kravstov, Buch, and probably something else (Baron perhaps?).

I like Sergachev but he is a little overrated on the HFs. He's in a good position playing behind Hedman and at times McD and even Cernak. When he's dumb, he's really dumb.
That would be the dumbest thing this team would have done in it's history. Are we trading for Gretzky?

@Edge any thoughts on what LA has that would interest Gorton for DeAngelo?

I’m looking at their roster and struggling lol

Kempe MacDermid and Iafallo to NYR
Buchnevich DeAngelo to Kings???

not the most known but they do fit a need and fair value in my opinion.

Kempe and Iafallo allow Howden to move to wing or not play he if stinks it up

Tampa should just return us the favor and send us Sergachev for a 1st and a roster player as a courtesy move lol

The COVID pandemic was really the worst thing to happen to players like Fast that can play up and down the lineup but are for the most part bottom six PK specialists. I very much doubt that Fast and others are going to get the multiyear contracts that double their previous cap hit this year.

Their best course of action is to take one year, $1-1.5 million deals to bet on themselves and cash in next summer in UFA.
