Yes, this. As dumb as I think it is, the whole point of the cap is to prop up the small, non traditional markets. It's not a coincidence that these markets also happen to be in low tax states. Supply and demand. Low taxes are an incentive to live somewhere you otherwise wouldn't want to, as are low property costs.

NYC is next level stupid though. I "escaped" and won't be back. I don't understand the demand at all myself, but I'm the type of person who'd take the Grand Canyon over a fancy restaurant every damn time.

what do you eat at the Grand Canyon?

The thing with TFP or any other ITK account; their reliable tends to directly correlate with them telling you what you want to hear/fits your narrative.

This take on their takes is becoming a saying to fit a narrative

Not really. I watch a lot of European soccer/football. The ITK situation there is worse, and years ahead of TFP and friends
DP has been above average this offseason, I'll keep riding that one out until something shows otherwise

Karlsson will probably end up in Tampa.

If you were EK, can you think of a better spot? He wouldn’t nearly be targeted as hard there as he would in Dallas, SJ or NYR/NYI or any of the teams mentioned. He will not get a better shot at winning anywhere else. He will not get paid more anywhere else.

Karlsson obviously hasn’t been super keen on telling teams that he will resign with them. Any team trading for him gotta be afraid of that they will be getting him as a rental.

Yzerman is in a good spot. But I doubt anyone is that keen on doing him any favors with Callahan or any other contract.

How about his and Melindas favourite city?

Pretty good shot at winning the cup with his brother in Vegas

This goes against everything else we are hearing from direct sources here, which, at this point, I trust them more than any other verified twitter handle.

Rangers waiting for dorion to blow all of his leverage. When they see that the best deal is the rangers package solely because karlsson will sign an extension, the package will be smaller than what it typically is.

Spooner, Howden and TDA plus the Tampa pick? ;)

Is it really? I have not seen any reports against it.

Edit: Read that post again, I am not sure how anything written there could go against anything reported. The only factual statement is that he obviously hasn’t been super keen on telling teams that he will resign with them. I based that mostly on what DP wrote and it seems possible, but what kind of reports goes against that? Anyone reporting that he is super keen to resign with anyone that traded for him??

They’ve been pretty accurate this offseason, at least it seems that way to me. I considered him/them a joke prior but their sources seem to have improved.

I've actually thought the opposite. Pagnotta's always been hit or miss and this year it seems like it's been more miss.

One of the reasons that those states are tax free is because they get more funds back from the federal government than they send. The states with state income taxes tend to get less back then they send and they have to tax thier residents more. I don’t like paying taxes but I don’t applaud states that take more then they give. The fact that it helps them to sign guys on better deals is just the damn cherry on top of a crap sundae.

I’ve prematurely climaxed on the EK deal, I’m gonna roll over and look at other threads
