Does he have much left in the tank? That could be a lot of fun if he is near the Kovy2 of old.
 
I feel better about our center options now than I did this morning. We have space and teams are throwing cash around like crazy. Something has to give for a bunch of them. Just be patient.

If kovalchuk goes to clb, that is a tough landing spot for Duchene. On one hand they are going for it but on the other, cap issues.

The center market might open up. Be smart here.
 
San Jose has a shortage of forwards and tons of cap space. Now is the time to strike with Nash and reunite him with his buddy Thornton.

Nash to San Jose for Chris Tierny or Melker Karlson and Joel Ward. Retain any salary on Nash and acquire a pick. Ward gives decent production, is a PKer, and his playoff track record is amazing.

Holden to Florida with the SJ pick for Bjugstad

Center problem solved.
 
Marleau got $6,500,000 3 years with full NMC in hockey's biggest market. I can't imagine Thorton taking much less than that now. We can't afford Thronton at this point especially if he's looking for term.

Want 0 part of Bjugstad unless Staal is going the other way.

4.1 for the next 4 seasons? No thank you.
 
The caps have 6 primarily bad defenseman. Might be a good landing spot for DeAngelo if we don't feel he fits the roster...
 
Bad deals all around for the Rangers, especially the one for Scheifele why would we trade all that for him.
