There's no need for another big upheaval. Let AV assess the roster. We can make a move or two during/after camp and once the season starts. Let him get a feel for what he has before bringing in/pushing out a bunch of players.

Hated Hendricks. That 4th liner who would always give the Rangers trouble and score insane SO goals. Glad he's out of the East.

Not major, but still have holes

No doubt. But signing Clarkson to a 7 year deal is clearly not the answer. The core is set but likely some small signings will be made and a deal or two during the season. The major change is at the head coaching spot...let AV get a look at the squad and decide what he needs to round the team into form.

Ready to retool their roster, the Predators dipped into the free agent market to add a forward with size and speed.

Nashville started the day by signing former Chicago Blackhawks forward Viktor Stalberg, a 6-foot-3, 27-year-old winger who scored 22 goals two seasons ago, to a four-year, $12 million deal.

The Predators also added Matt Cullen from the Minnesota Wild with a two-year, $7 million contract.

Dallas’ Eric Nystrom was also on Nashville’s radar as free agency entered its second hour. The Predators, who had close to $16 million of salary cap space, are also looking for a backup goaltender.

I haven't read back the thread but I don't understand the Moore love. Great player but a year removed from hockey, do we want another BR?

Not usually a fun guy to play against I still wasn't a big Matt Hendricks fan. If he could be had for $1.5 mil or cheaper--okay, it's a decent deal that Nashville got for him--otherwise forget it--they paid too much.

Wanted no part of him, that contract is a joke

#NYR Rangers did not express interest today in Hendricks, who reportedly signs with Preds. Would've been good fit, but again, no money

If they didn't have money for Hendricks, they have no money period
