Brendan Morrow changing zipcodes again..Yzerman not bringing him back.

I remember a few years ago I suggested the Kings sign him and people were very insulting of his play. I didn't realize how much his game had fallen. Having watched him quite a bit in this year's playoffs, I don't think he belongs in the NHL. He was pretty bad in the playoffs - constantly turning over the puck and not doing much of anything to help the team win.

Yeah, I think Morrow is done on any team that is truly competitive.

He might make an excellent stop-gap vet on a team that is looking to have it's kids learn how to do things the right way. Don't know if Morrow is that kind of guy, but maybe he is.

Lombardi passed on Franson over Sekera probably because of price. Franson (right handed) would be an absolute perfect fit next to McNabb.

Watching Morrow in the playoffs this year reminded me of watching Dave Taylor during that last half-season he played.

Clearly playing his ever-lovin' heart out, but simply not able to hack it anymore.

I dunno, Franson is not the best defender. McNabb needs a steady partner.

Seems like exactly the type of signing the kings would have made during Dean's first year.

Who doesn't miss Scott Thornton, Brian Willsie, Jamie Heward, Alyn McCauley etc etc etc what a horrid horrid team

I was think the same thing. Don't forget Handzus after that. One of the few guys Dean ever gave an NMC. He knew Handzus was a stand up guy in the room.

I really hope Dean isn't counting on Voynov to be back and even remotely effective. Kid may be gone forever, first of all, and secondly he hasn't played a competitive hockey game in a year AND he tore his Achilles.

Seeing Sekera sign for only 5.5 bothers me. ****ing sign the guy and ship Martinez out. Seems like a no brainer to me. We don't have anything close to a second pairing right now.

Is DL really looking to add term this offseason? Even with cap space available, Kopi and Lucic need to be resigned right?

Unless Voynov is done, I don't see LA doing anything more unless they can get Erhoff on a one year deal maybe.

What money is coming off the books next year?

I think we are looking at Forbort making the jump. Not sure if DL even picks up another defenseman (Schultz is still kicking around as well).

While they may not expect Voynov to be amazing right off the bat due to the injury, he's still on a great contract once he is back to form. If you expect him back, you'll have a problem on your hands when his cap hit is onthe books again if you go shopping for defensemen on Day 1 of free agency.

Going to want to save that cap space for Kopitar's--and possibly Lucic's--extensions along with trade deadline/Voynov fleixibility.

Forgot about him...

Mike Santorelli is a crowd. Several teams in discussion. Likely settle on 2 years, just under $3 mil per.

hmm...maybe for the kings??

Johnny Oduya sitting on a very good offer but veteran defenseman will be patient in his decision-making today.

Any figure near $3M for Santorelli would be ridiculous.

Some bottom dweller can afford to do that.

Also find it funny that Beleskey is still hanging around waiting for a magical fairy GM to give him a blank check.

I think Oduya would be solid lining up with McNabb.
