Pretty weird that someone like Mike Green is still out there. This guy was almost on the 2010 Olympic team. How did he become so bad?

hes not bad, but if he's asking the moon...not sure a lot of teams are gonna pony up big numbers for the guy any more

Wouldn't be surprised if Justin Williams hangs out there for a few days. Might have to lower his price a bit.

So the two teams to win the cup over the past 5 years were largely inactive (of course the Hawks HAD to address their cap needs by moving Saad but nothing serious after that) and some people are bitcing about our not going after every player that was signed today. I just don't get it. Most of the teams that go after the big name high dollar UFA's only do so because they suck bad enough to be in a position to where they have to in order to look like they are trying to keep up. I stick with the winners.

Maybe he's got a few offers and biding his time. I heard a rumor from one of the NY writers , something to the effect that if Okposo was traded, the ISles would sign him, I also heard the Caps were after him.

He's got a family to consider and I'm sure they are discuss where they want to move to, it's a big decision when you have a family to move.

Belesky , for all the hype and a thousand teams chasing him...not signed.

I could also see JW wanting to sign again with us. I dont think it will happen but I could see both sides trying to work something out still. Maybe I am just wishful thinking.

Can't understand why Mike Richards hasn't gotten a phone call today from prospective employers...

Just saw that sekera signed with a 5 mil or so cap hit someone pease explain to me we couldn't afford that? Thanks. Sorry didnt wanna read previous pots.

It was not up to the Kings to 'afford' that, it was Sekera's choice, he didn't want to sign here. He is the one who makes that decision, and part of that was getting an NMC, which the Kings didn't offer.

He picked a good young team that over that 6 years, who have a good manamgent in place, finally , a good coach, MacDavid, and will be one of the young rising teams in the league.

Green is one of the guys that isn't going to have a chair when the music stops.

He is asking for too much money based on what is now ancient history performance.

There is only so much salary cap to go around, and a lot of teams don't spend to the cap. Some of these veteran players that think they are getting 5 and 6 year deals for $30M+ are going to be extremely disappointed.
