Pretty sure with all their free agent signings today, they don't. Unless Kadri takes a pay-cut
Yeah, could do, I’m just trying to find a way to get Sandin and Lilly playing time away from one another. I like them both as potentially 2nd pairing guys (don’t think they’re close to that right now but they need playing time to get there, that’s the catch-22 of it all)You could even go shutdown muzz Brodie if you have Reillys partner settled
But evidently not that close... 750 km away.

Why would he care though, he won a Cup, now it's time to get paid, you could always get traded later to a contender. Kane and Toews new exactly what they were doing when they signed their current contracts; Naz does too.New Jersey, Islanders, Anaheim and Seattle are the only 4 teams with Cap-space i think that can sign Nazem Kadri. I dont think either of those places are attractive to Kadri. I see him going back to Colorado for lower money.
If it was the Rangers..I think Kadri would have seriously considered it
I would have thought Columbus had the best offer and he took it with suitors dwindling. But this is weird, would like to hear his rationale for going to the Blue Jackets.
I don't know man, 1.3 cal vs 1.6 col it's colder for sure though!Maybe has something to do with quality of life?
Could have made more many places, but goes to a city about twice the size of Calgary, but not large by any means.
He was excited to play for Tortorella. Nobody told the poor guy.I think Johnny G needs a new agent
Why would you think Liljegren isn't ready for 2nd pair duties when he seemed to be doing well last season and getting better as he played more games? Him and Gio looked pretty good together so why not keep them together? Let Muzz and Sandin be the 3rd pair.Yeah, could do, I’m just trying to find a way to get Sandin and Lilly playing time away from one another. His age and expected length of contract for that age checks out.wow imagine if kadri goes to islanders. he'll take them to new heights.
Doubt he's capable of that, if we were building a bottom 6 line with some offense you may roll the diceSam Steel for 2LW?

Top 6 is still so soft. Not playoff caliber.
I know we're waiting for Mathew Knies to come along but we need another big bodied player for the top 6
Agree and this and a dman can be addressed at the deadline.Top 6 is still so soft. Not playoff caliber.

Maybe I read this wrong but isn't Calgary bigger than Columbus population wise?Maybe has something to do with quality of life?
