It's essentially the same or slight downgrade and has the same issue of no real 3rd man for the 2nd line.

Fair assessment. Maybe Roberston is the guy....who knows? Gotta start playing the youngsters at some point.

But none of the main rivals in the Atlantic can run it back....they all got significantly worse. TB and FLA especially.

I dont think the leafs have fully given up on Wayne Simmonds. If a fat, slow bufoon like Patrick Maroon can continue to be a factor for Tampa every year...Wayne Simmonds can as well.

What can't happen is us losing faith and bench players physical players just because of 1 bad game or 1 bad penalty. We do that way too often.

With that being said, if there's an upgrade on Simmonds out there, than im all for it. Im still on board with ZAR

Definitely haven't given up on Wayne Train! But it's become clear he's struggling to hold down a full time role. I see him and Clifford rotating in and out at 4LW this season.
