Throwing darts at a board and trying to see if one of them will hopefully work out to be a bottom 6 guy is an idiotic way to run a hockey team.

That's what you do if you're the coyotes

Can't remember who but yea apparently two years away for Douglas who knows maybe we get lucky

Wasn't the coach it was Hardy who runs the team I believe. Point still stands why are we trying to get lucky to make a roster.

That's a crazy way to do business

They've done this for a few years. Some hit. Some miss. Not enough hit at the same time to get us passed a playoff opponent. The one's that do hit have to move on. Then we sign another 8 or so and the cycle begins.

Exactly. Anything can happen, and if the low cost signings were guaranteed to be great, the price tag would be much higher.

Please note - this isn't directed at you at all. But the prevailing theme in this thread is basically comparable to people complaining that they never win the lottery, but when you ask them if they bought any tickets, they laugh and say why would I do that, it's just a waste?

He doesn't perform, he's gone. Simple.

All good. I agree. I just think there's better options out there to make the team that are 700k to 1m for that roster spot. They need to add a bit of size.

Even the coach of the marlies thinks Douglass is 3 years away

Kampf engvall and nak are the only ones who should be on an NHL roster trying to win a cup

Alright, I guess we won't ever play prospects.

Holmberg is a good example, if we were signing him as a free agent, he'd have Mikheyev hype.

Not on the team by playoffs... Ritchie, Amadio, Dermott

Added Giordano, Lyubushkin, Blackwell.

Our division, Tampa, Florida, Boston are all weaker. Detroit, Ottawa and Buffalo are stronger. We are likely weaker than last years team.

Our roster heading into the playoffs this coming year, will probably have 4-5 players on it, currently not listed on our roster on CapFriendly. Yes, everyone was hoping for more today, but it's just the first day, and it's a long time away from the Trade Deadline, and the addition of guys like Knies. Yes, everyone knows what we currently have isn't good enough, and we should all understand this isn't a finished product. The current team is good enough to make the playoffs, and the only thing that matters is success in the playoffs. Am I wrong, the only thing that matters is success in the playoffs. We aren't going into the playoffs with this roster. Chill, have a beer, it's summer and enjoy it.

i know they have 20 Assistant Managers but why any of them be spending time on Malgin this time of the year?

Ich can't like right now sire, but if I could, I would  But yeaht, that guy has some game. All of them learning from crosby... crosby even got malkin back :like woah: he doind things and moving things. We have to get some grit, real grit on our D and wings. Chicken wings.

I'm not a dubas fan and think he should be fired for other reasons but atleast let a few days go by before you freak out about the composition of the team.
