He sucks as a center. He can't take draws, and he has been a RW for the most part.

He had that one good year, and that was years ago. He will be in a competition, but we signed him as a AAAA guy who is competing for a job, but nothing is guaranteed for him.

So at this point, it's very obvious that Dubas and Co did not want to commit to term, right? 5.25 for Darcy K is a lot better than 4.8 for Murray. Those extra years, though....

Looking at Gaudette, even further removed than Murray from being relevant in the league.

Aubel had 17 hits in 67gp for the Avalanche. 0 pts in 14 gp playoffs.

The 4th line seems like it’ll be different but not improved after all.

May be the best offseason to trade him and the 11 million. Not sure the Strome's totally replace him, but Matthews could move to Captain. If I'm Tavares I also wouldn't accept the trade. Haha

Engvall is useful because he can neuter offense and defense for a whole line with virtually anyone beside him. Not a bad player to put on a shut down line or the 4th line

Cap friendly has 2.0 I guess 2.8 since we have 13 FWs

I have my doubts. Why trade for Muzzin, Kerfoot or Holl when you can find UFAs for nothing but cash at flat cap rates.

Kerfoot has 1 year left and his actual salary is much less than the cap hit. Very appealing for low budget teams trying to hit the floor (if they are not on his NT list or he is willing to waive)
