GDT: Free Agent Frenzy 2022

Disagree, Giordano and Subban can fill in a bit for what Muzzin brings, especially with Rielly Giordano and Sandin on LD, there is no room there now.

Leafs lack forward depth, so it's hard for me to see them giving up on a forward. We've replaced Mikheyev, Kase, and Spezza essentially with Aube-Kubel, Jankrok, and Robertson; we'll see if it works.

This is what I got which includes a couple Norris dmen and a few PP points shots now:

Bunting Matthews Marner
Robertson Tavares Nylander
Engvall Kerfoot Jankrok
Aston-Reese Kampf Aube-Kubel
Clifford

Rielly Liljegren
Giordano Brodie
Sandin Subban
Benn Holl

Murray
Samsonov

I'd probably dump Holl in this scenario.

I like pk I wouldn't say no to him but I don't think he's what we need

He's a tweener at this point if his career. Not really that much of a puck mover and not great at being a nasty net front guy.

If you're making that move the play is either to upgrade at 2LW or #1 RHD
 
I want El Nino! He & Timo are my favorite Swiss players. .. Not the best obviously, but they're great dudes and play the style we need. Timo is too expensive, but Niederreiter would be possible I guess.
We would've named our son after him, but we have 2 daughters. ;) So as we don't have a little Nino, I would love to at least have one on the Leafs! :D

He's been a bit disappointing in terms of playoff production.

The mainboards used to thinly veil their trolling and hate for the Leafs but now it's an outright explicit shit show. The like button system made it reach deranged levels.

They're wrong on 9/10 Leaf related topics but actually being "right" is not their objective so going there for an objective discussion is moot.

Don’t really go there…it’s like going to forest you know is full of trolls…

If I really want to see wanna be trolls...I just go to the Oilers threads....we live in their heads rent free and always makes forget our fiesta of people :laugh:

I know better sadly. It's not so bad during the season when chirps are based on recent events. But offseason is horrible it's just spewing verbal shit.

I am about to take my summer break again but I miss hockey and it's hard to take the break.

Or even midseason. They were talking about Bedard/Michkov/Fantilli on 590 and about how much better they look than this season or the last few. Predicting an "epic tank battle" starting as early as Christmas as teams with a bad first half dive for a franchise forward. I would say this might mean picks and prospects will be the currency they are after, to get some value without immediate improvement, but that good players that would have normally been a building club's future are on the market. So yeah Patty would be right there.
