The players the Leafs must move are Kerfoot, Muzzin and Holl.
moving a top pair dman would hurt.

Lol, You think Engvall wouldn't have just told Kyle he is going to Arb? These player agents are going to get the best deal for their RFA's when they have ARB rights knowing the teams cant walk away from anything less 4mil.
And could you name the player you would replace Engvall will that will sign for less?
All of us on these boards think we can do a better job than the actual professionals without actually knowing the ins and outs of it, why do you think so many teams walked away from RFA's this offseason. The fear of arbitration and the unknown of it all.
Who are we talking about again?hahamoving a top pair dman would hurt.

Does this fit under the cap? I like it.
We’re they shut down ? I’m pretty sure I saw them get walked a couple times and on for pp goals against I think the shut down is exaggerated my friend as much as their bottom six out did ours that doesn’t mean the top six didn’t perform eitherThe guy on the pairing that shut down all of Tampa's top liners in the playoffs.
I like the player... a lot. The way that he plays (he doesn't avoid contact) requires him to get bigger and stronger. I'm really hoping that there's a noticeable physical change come training camp.I think with Robertson its more about projecting development than anything. His production at 20 in the AHL suggests that should he take a jump at 21, he would be more than capable of being an NHL regular (and how much of a jump will determine how good of an NHLer).
Its not a fool-proof science of course, he might just not translate. But, 20 year olds with his production in the AHL very rarely flop as NHLers, and he has various tools that are NHL level.

Fair enough but I recall important goals being scored against them no one’s gonna be perfect and the stats don’t lie but they don’t tell the full truth either but nice responseBrodie: 22:47, 2 ev pts, +5, 55.9xgf%
Muzz: 22:11, 3 ev pts, +4, 50.9xgf%
Kucherov: 3 ev pts, -5, 49.4xgf%
Stamkos: 2 ev pts, -2, 46.3xgf%
Point: 1 ev pts, -6, 49.3xgf%

I mean it lost us the series it’s gonna be the biggest goal period it was it the only though ?the biggest goal that got scored on Muzz was the series-winning goal.....after Killorn ripped his stick out of his hands with no call by the refs.
it's interesting how scared fans are to project any prospects into the lineup.
Anyways there's no reason why we can't have a whole whack of kids from the last 5 drafts in the lineup this year - Liljegren, Sandin, Robertson, Knies, Abruzzese, Holmberg, (Steeves, Anderson).
It's that logic why the Mason Marchments and Carter Verhaeges are playing for other teamsIt’s not about being scared to project prospects into the lineup, but rather a desire to assemble a cup-worthy roster.

They are obviously very different players, but in my opinion, the answer is Sandin hands down.Sandin wants to play LD.
Sandin is young and *probably* has a decent amount of time remaining in this league
Muzzin was injured most of last year and has only played 2 playoff series in entirety for Toronto and maybe only has 2 years left in the league.
Who makes sense to keep moving forward?
This sounds like an incorrect interpretation of what happenedWas that the play when Muzzin tripped Killorn and he fell and landed on Muzzin’s stick?
People don't want to move Muzzin because he's EXACTLY what we need more of on this team. A legit big physical player that can handle the puck well and play with other good players.Sandin wants to play LD.

However, I think we're missing that Muzzin either way. Based on age, playing style, injury history, how he looked for most of last year, etc, I think there are very valid concerns that he won't be that player anymore, at least not for ~18-20+ minutes a night. So I'd rather have the capspace at this point.

Or from someone who is not familiar with how killorn plays
Fair enough.. just pointing out killorn has a fetish for othwr peoples sticksThe whole play was a scrambled mess. There were nothing truly penalty-worthy there.... but if we're going to pretend Killorn should have got a holding penalty, we should also know that Muzzin's stick hit Killorn across the shins right before he fell.
Bunting I don't think we can go beyond like 4x4 or he's walking and he's likely to get more on the open market.
Robertson, Knies and even Amirov are kinda critical to continue working under the cap structure Dubas has created.
I am hoping Amirov is able to get back onto the ice this year and ideally as a Marlie, we will just give him all the ice time he can handle to help his development.
I think the trade deadline this year will be very active, with teams who run out of the race looking to tank hard for a strong draft year. It would not be the worst play to save cap space (if they get any from trades) and assets; to pick up some players later in the year. This team is probably good enough to crack the playoffs in its current state. Being in the hardest division also makes a 2-3 placement very punishing. Unless they are gunning for first, there isn't much incentive to push hard from the season start.
