Jim Matheson ‏@NHLbyMatty

Braydon Coburn will eventually wind up in EDM via PHI. Could he be def. security blanket guy for Justin Schultz? Coburn coming off poor yr.

Is this Matheson guy reliable?

So, Philly will trade probably their second best defenseman away when their team need is defense? I really don't know what they're doing.

It makes sense though, if you were at the draft his past Sunday, you saw that MacT and Holmgren were constantly chatting.

When was the last time a potential 1C was moved in a trade before the Seguin trade? Nil has the right philosophy. Seguin's going to convert to center.

I hope Seguin can turn into the center he was expected to be. The guy has the skills, he just needs the motivation. Boston drafted him with a pick they got for Phil Kessel, and now they get Eriksson back for it.

Would it have been better to keep Kessel in 2009?

They also got Dougie Hamilton in the deal. My best guess: if you asked B's fans, they are probably happy Kessel isn't in Boston.

Eriksson is the more complete player. He puts up points too. Kessel is 1-dimensional. He is good on offense. Would rather have Eriksson on my team.

what about Coburn for Dubnyk then Oilers sign Bryzgalov?

I think Eriksson is a good player, but I still think Kessel gets underrated a lot. He's been a top 10 scorer in the league the past 2 seasons. He's very good at that 1-dimension. I'll take him for sure.

The Kessel trade? :sarcasm:

No seriously can think of it.

Feel like it's a great trade for both teams, Boston replace Horton with a better player who likely is cheaper as well while Dallas getting a younger star for the future and a very solid 2-way player in Peverly.

what is your predictions for tomorrow??

mine is Rob Scuderi Maxim Lapierre and Mikhail Grabovski to Rangers
