Cgy fans are pretty high on his value in a return, they were asking for Greig and our 1st on the main boards...
Isn’t that always the way on these boards? I haven’t been around A long time But the actual returns always seem less than the expectations from a particular fanbase

I’m a little pissed we missing out on tkatchuk. I’m stoked on debrincat tkatchuk was always my target though.

If debrincat doesn’t want to re sign and tkatchuk goes somewhere he possibly doesn’t like I can see a 1 for 1 hockey trade.

Kinda stunned people are suggesting we trade a 24yr old 2x 40goal (almost 3x actually) guy we JUST traded for, for M. TKACHUK whos never hit 40 goals once.
Unless the cat doesn't wanna re-sign, i don't get it. Is it because we signed some big $$ guys so we gotta take a run at everyone? 🤷‍♂️

Remember how uptight everybody got with older brother's comments during bradys contract negotiations?
Nah. Rather keep Batherson and Formenton and the Cat for me thanks.

Now about Zaitsev.....
It would be super cool to have the brothers together. But there is some risk about the dynamic etc. With the AD we know we have a stud. I’m definitely on the Cat train If we had to choose one.

Edit: MT locked up with term vs AD for 2 +? might sway me.

Tkachuk actually scored 42 goals last year to go along with his career high 104 points. I agree with the overall sentiment of your post though that DeBrincat is the more potent and natural goal scorer. I'd have more doubt about M. Tkachuk ever putting up another 40 goal season than I would for Cat.

lol this board is comedy. We do not need Matthew Tkachuk

If we happen to make a trade with Calgary, it should only be for Tanev and/or Hanafin

Not saying it's a reasonable return, but gives you the impression that they still value his play. So if the question is whether he is still a good dman, their overvaluing him in trade proposals seems to suggest he's still valued by them and likely still playing well. As an aside, that matches my viewings, he's still a very solid Dman.

I swear we are the only sane Canadian fan base.

Our offers for debrincat and chycrun were so high lol.

Meanwhile Toronto expected batherson to take Murray.

Habs fans posting about Hoffman Armia and a second for Dubois.

Calgary fans with that bullshit.

Jets fans saying Sami Niku was untouchable in a Mark Stone trade.

Edmonton is Edmonton enough said.

As fun as it would be to watch two Chuckys on the same team doing their thing, we have no room for Matthew. Where would he slot in? Our top six is filled. We aren't going to trade for, and pay him to play on the third line. Unless we are going to do a Byfuglien and move him to Defense.

whatever happens with Formenton and Batherson, i hope the Sens take a hard stance and take the side of the victim and try to reduce stigma and limit the toxic hockey culture that brought this in the first place.
Whatever happens with Formenton and Batherson, I hope the Sens take a reasoned and measured approach based on how the facts come out and not bow down to mob justice and virtue signalling.

The only thing that makes any sense is debrincat for Tkachuk.

I'm a big Matthew Tkachuk fan but I think Gaudreau drove the bus on that line.

We need a Debrincat type way more than we need another Tkachuk type.
