One year out from fighting a teammate and with prior issues, Tony DeAngelo fetched a 2nd 3rd and 4th. If you can play, scandals reduce your value, but they don't kill it. Calgary probably realizes tainted players at a discount are bad business until they start scoring.
It's not like Washington fans abandoned the team because Ovechkin directly recruited soldiers to kill Ukranians.

I very much doubt Dorion ever wanted to trade for Matthew. Brady is the captain, why bring in his older brother?
He has come out and said when we're at home Brady knows who's the boss. I don't want him here because of that statement

whatever happens with Formenton and Batherson, i hope the Sens take a hard stance and take the side of the victim and try to reduce stigma and limit the toxic hockey culture that brought this in the first place.

It's not toxic hockey culture. Glorifying boys / young men for anything will result in the same behaviour. Athletes, artists, actors all have the same issues. The only way to prevent it is to stop caring about hockey.

Not really a weird take. In general life not many older brothers who have dominant personalities will want to go work for their younger brother.

You're not an elite pro athlete either. Most of those guys have huge egos and personalities and I don't think Matthew would like to play second fiddle to his younger brother.

Pretty sure the brothers will be eyeing playing together in St Louis when they're both over age 30. Kinda of like a 2-3 year run at the end of their careers. Welcome home and retire in a pair of Blues' jerseys.

I wouldn't give up the assets for Tkachuk. If he really wants to play with his brother in Ottawa, he can sign here next year. If the interest is there, Brady would have already started talking about it behind closed doors.
