I very much hope you're right, but I think Stutzle explodes next season. One side he has Debrincat, the other he has Giroux and he was already playing excellent over a PPG from center on with Formenton and Brown or whoever the f*** it was lol.

I think he's gonna get PAID.
I think stutzle is going to take a contract like Pettersson or Matthews. He's going to be worth a boatload after he puts up 90 points this year.

I hope you're right, if he gets over 80pts then he might get over 8M but maybe since Norris and Tkachuk are making 8M he will accept 8M also too make sure the team can ice a contender.

So here's what it *might* look like next year....

Tkachuk 8.25
Norris 7.95
Batherson 4.975
Giroux 6.5
Debrincat 10
Stutzle 10
Formenton 3
Joseph 2.5
Pinto 2.5
BOTTOM 3 3.2

Chabot 8
Zub 5
Sanderson 1
Holden 1.3

Sogard 1
Forsberg 2.75

TOTAL = 77.93

Needs: 2 Dmen and depth

I speculated Stutzle and Debrincat will get 10 each, I think it could be 9, but it also could be more than 10.

A also speculated on Sanderson - and it was a big speculate. Who knows what he'll get.

I figured we'd re-sign Holden again for the same amount.

Dunno what Joseph and Formenton will get, guessed 5.5 between them. Don't know what Pinto will get.

So...cap problems coming.

Tampa has managed to keep their core together for a long time despite handing out fat contracts to a lot of their stars.

Once you start getting close to the cap, you just have to juggle things well. We may see some guys shipped out, but it will help us replenish the prospect pool as we have guys graduate. As long as we get some guys coming in on the ELCs/cheap contracts every year, we should be good. Nobody wants to see someone like Norris traded, but if Pinto ends up surpassing him we could get a haul if we traded him 3-4 years down the line.

I wouldn't be surprised if they if they extended Talbot($3 AAV for 2 years) and bridged Stutzle ($6.5 AAV for 2 years). 2023-24 will be tough financially with $5 mil in dead cap space. Once it clears, 2024-25 will have more flexibility for Stutzle.

Sure. If we can swing that, we'll be fine for a long time (or until Stutzle literally doubles what we gave him because the market has altered). Still, looks fairly feasible. Not sure about the Weegar or similar for 4.5, but that's Dorion's problem.

I think you are paying Pinto too much.
He has only play 17 games over 2 seasons so far. Last time we paid based on potential was White. That didnt work out for us.

You could be right. I originally had him penciled in at a bridge for 1.25 but upped it after seeing SpezDispenser's figures. 2.5 for 5-6 years could be an amazing deal in 2 or 3 years.

Kane and Toews will be 50% retention so 5.25. Jones will be super hard to move even though he shouldn’t be.

NJ or Buffalo for Kane is a no brainer.

Toews seems like an Uncle Lou guy but that would depend on what they do with Dobson Bridge vs Long term
Buffalow and NJ both have assets to make a legit offer for Kane as well! Would be cool to see if he waives to go to one of those organizations though

Stützle is the player you don't bridge. After that deal he'd get close to double that amount. Not that I think he would accept it in the first place.

Didn't Brown have one?

Makes it easy.
Guys who wore the A last season:

Chabot,
C.Brown
N.Paul
N.Zaitsev

Guys expected to be in the opening lineup next year:

Chabot

Yeah, I'd say there's room for Giroux to get himself a letter.

I'd guess we go with Giroux, Chabot, Norris, and maybe Batherson if they rotate somebodies letter. DeBrincat is an option too

No brainer for Giroux for sure.
