Wouldn’t mind getting a versatile bottom 6 winger, maybe someone like Tyler Motte. Not exactly sold on Kelly being an everyday NHL winger yet and not a fan of Watson as a player.

One of Kelly/Crookshank/Sokolov should be able to take that spot. And it wouldn't surprise me to see Ridley Greig push to be on this roster by the end of the season, especially if we're in a playoff race.

If not, depth forwards are pretty easy to acquire during the year.

Carolina is going to be deadly next season. I would say it's a close race between us and them for who's had the best offseason. They've managed to acquire Burns and Pacioretty for basically nothing.

They also lost Trocheck and DeAngelo, though, and will most likely lose Neiderreiter. I think Pacioretty and Burns are upgrades on the first two players, for sure, but not that massive of upgrades.

I expect them to be a great team, like they were last year, but I don't think the moves have vaulted them to another level.

If Pacioretty can stay healthy he's a big upgrade over Nino on the wing. Losing Trocheck is tough, but I'd imagine both Ponomaryov & Drury will be pushing for that open C position next season. Personally, I'd take Burns over DeAngelo on RD for the short-term. Might not be massive improvements, but they've added some solid players with extensive playoff experience for next to nothing.

Not sure where he goes then. A team like Columbus might be willing to get him, since they're always hoping to get anyone. I've heard that Vancouver is trying to clear salary to sign him, but it seems to be next to impossible to clear salary unless you straight up give a player away.

Columbus doesn't have any cap space after giving 4x4 to Gudbranson.

Right, options are limited.

There's a rumor that Vancouver is trying to clear cap space to sign him, but who knows. Maybe we can get Myers with retained salary for future considerations if all other options fall through.

Really need them to dump zaitsev, watching him out there is awful. Saying "at least we have connor brown" kinda made up for it but "at least we have a 2024 2nd rounder" doesnt have the same ring
