My understanding is that he did waive to come here.

Just because Carolina got him for that package doesn't mean they would have accepted the same from us.
Anyway you can find out if the vaccine stuff stopped the deal ?

Dorion is just breakng his back moving heaven and earth to build a squad; meanwhile, Yzerman is just dishing out cheap contracts to great players without breaking a sweat.

This may be Dorion's summer but it's still Yzerman's world.

That's too bad, would have been a good add imo. Oh well, can't win them all.

He's had a very quiet great day. Theyre going to be alot better as well. The division is a gauntlet. Only bad team is Montreal.

Ya I agree especially with retention and the cost vs the ask for other D men. I am very interested if his wife and child not being vaccinated ended up the problem with coming here.

Yzerman's world has no goalkeepers

It's hard to be definitive. It was certainly an odd thing to come up though at that particular time.

Just saw the Gudbranson contract. That's a buyout waiting to happen.

How do you know Dorion is breaking his back. And yzerman is doing things easily lol. We had some bad contracts to move. That’s it.

Just brutal. #6-#7 at best.

It's wild. Teams still see 6'5, 222 lbs, right-shot and think, "Hmmm, he'd be perfect next to our LH offensive defenseman (in their case, Werenski)". And yes, in theory. But they seemingly forget to actually watch tape on him.

So did Dorion say we are looking at NHL depth signings, or more organizational depth/AHL?

Currently we have 23 forwards, 12D, and 5G (although Merilainen, Boucher, and Ostapchuk may all go back to jrs).

I could see us having interest in guys like Geertsen, Perlini, Kief Sherwood, Imama, Buddy Robinson, Justin Bailey, Gawdin, Luff, Ritchie, Fasching, Rubins, Jeremy Davies, etc. Good AHLers with some NHL experience.
