Most of them are pretty positive about the Senators, especially about Talbot/Forsberg.

Yeah they all said they think they push for a playoff spot. They do also say they need to address their D core. Which they are 100 percent correct.

I think its fair for them to say the defense still needs work and it very likely stands in the way if nothing happens there, that goes without saying and it will require bringing someone else in for the top 4 this summer.

They re-signed their guys (outside of Kapanen) but I imagine they'll still want to add, so they'll need to clear some space.

How do you know that Burns didnt waive to come here? I am sure they were in on that. He had a 28 team no trade list.

My understanding is that he did waive to come here.

Just because Carolina got him for that package doesn't mean they would have accepted the same from us.
