He'll tickle 90/100 playing with Giroux and Debrincat. You'll see. I hate to say it, but we're gonna PAY
I hope so. I think it’s possible. That’s the best case scenario.

If you were 20 years old and could sign a 58 million dollar contract right now and then just focus on hockey/life would you? I’m sure Stutzle would consider it.

I love Stutzle but I see a lot of Sens fan penciling him in for a 9-10 million dollar AAV, but I’m not convinced he’ll earn that this year.

@2CHAINZ can you ask Randy Timmins if he's hearing the same rumblings this morning? I consider him THE ironclad source.

Thanks in advance!
Everytime you mention his name he has another child.

What disappointing news (not that he signed, but if that’s what the news was).
I actually like Jayce. Was dissapointed we didn’t resign him for something small

Having failed to acquire Marino, Weegar and assuming we can't sign Klingberg, at this point I'd just trade for Holl as a cheap reclamation project at RD who can push Zaitsev out of the lineup.

Teams are practically giving away top 6 forwards to dump cap. Shudder at what the cost would be to dump Zaitsev. We already paid his 2M bonus so he only costs 2.5M in salary for the rest of this year. Should just keep him and try to dump his contract next off-season, or perhaps in a trade for a top 4 D at the deadline.

Now is also not the right time to go all-in by acquiring a guy like Chychrun given we don't know what's happening with Batherson and Formenton.

Holl would be terrible

He is in the same pile as Hamonic, Zaitzev MDZ

I understand that you need some NHL fodder to hang around when you have injuries but why not use the guys you already have in Belleville. Why sign Gambrell & Hawryluk? Use the money & the contract limit with players who can make a difference or are part of the future than spending it on guys who are never going to go anywhere.

They have already played here & did nothing of consequence, I would much rather see Sokolov, Jarventie, Kastelic, Greig, Crookshank or Lodin than these two. Crap, I'd rather see Sabourin than these two, at least you know something interesting is going to happen when he's on the ice, these two are just plain uninteresting to say the very very least.

I was going to use this on @benjiv1 for pumping us up for nothing but you deserve it more

I think this is a Mann thing.
They don’t like you g players yo-yo’ing between leagues, and having players like Gambrell and Hawryluk help with that.

They want NHL games to be an incentive, vs being promoted out of necessity.

With how little DJ tends to play the subs from Belleville, I am totally okay with it.

All that being said, I expect Greig to give everyone something to contemplate by assigning him to Belleville.

Because injuries happen, and you don't want to jeopardize whatever development plan you have for these young players.

For example: We get a ton of injuries at a specific position (for example: like we had at center at the beginning of last season). At the same time, Mann believes that these young players would be best served playing big minutes in the AHL instead of small minutes in the NHL. Then what???

we had him before. depth player
I know that's my point. We had a thread on here when he signed with Vancouver after we let him go UFA.

gotcha

I don't know why we don't bring Ennis back. I thought he was perfectly good as a 4th line / 13th forward. Decent skill, plays with an edge, and the guys seem to love him.
And better than both Gambrell & Hawryluk put together.
