It's not terrible or necessarily bad. But what's the bigger plan with our forward lines? Are we really going to go back into the playoffs with the kid line being our checking unit? I mean Wheeler is a big body and has been a good player for years, but I don't totally know if this is helping us construct lines that have defined roles. But really, that issue pre-exists. So, I'm complaining about that problem moreso than Wheeler himself. He's not a bad player,. he is older and his durability, footspeed, etc will be a question.
But who knows. What this team needs is a couple swiss army knives that have speed sandpaper and okay hands.
