1. Tarasenko @50% to a contender for a late 1st.
2. Kubalik @50% to a contender for a bag of pucks.
3. Forsberg to Colorado for a late round pick.
4. Brännström + mid round pick for Dante Fabbro (extend him).

Offseason:
1. Draft Sam Dickinson top 5
2. Chabot to Arizona for Guenther + 1st
3. Sign Formenton
4. 3rd round pick for Andrew Peeke
5. Hamonic + pick for Jamie Benn (1M real salary post bonus)

Too bad we didn’t leverage cap space to get assets for pennies on the dollar when we were in an exceptional flat cap era. Instead we went on a buying/signing spree and if it wasn’t for Pinto’s unfortunate situation, would have actually had to ship out a good asset. Now good players are going to cost much more.

For me it'd be:
1. Forsberg to Colorado for O'Connor
2. Tarasenko at half retained to the Caps for their 2025 1st.
3. Chabot to Calgary for Hanifin (we extend Hanifin to an 8 year $7.5 million deal).
4. Kubalik to Philly for a 3rd.
5. Brannstrom for Fabbro straight up (unless they insist on a pick).

Offseason:
1. Trade Chychrun unless his next extension is 8 years $7.5 million aav.
2. Trade Batherson for someone who doesn't suck ass at defence.
3. Trade Norris for picks and any depth centre that doesn't have a glass shoulder.
4. Draft Celebrini
5. Start planning Sens Mile.

I am gonna predict Josh Norris.

He's a #2 center with Pinto coming back in January and Greig already here. He's kind of in their way.

He's not that effective 5on5. Mostly a PP specialist with that shot.

Not that great defensively. Doesn't PK.

He's Brady's best friend.

Hanifin for Chabot doesn't make any sense. He has no reason to want to extend here, and he is a LHD, we need a top 4 RHD.

Weegar is the target that makes sense on Calgary in a trade where we move out Chabot or Chychrun. The problem is that he has a NTC. He is from Ottawa, so there is a small chance he would waive to come here.

Andersson also makes sense, but then there is the risk that he leaves 2026. The way to get Andersson would probably be a 3-way trade, where we send Chychrun somewhere and then flip that package to Calgary for Andersson. I doubt it would make sense for Calgary to do Chabot or Chychrun for Andersson.

If a core piece is being moved I see it on defense instead of forward

Better chance at someone buying a dman then a top 6 forward with term at the deadline.

That being said it would be stupid to do that trade now when their are limited suitors. Wait until the offseason

lol. Wont happen management is probably in love with Batherson right now seeing his price tag and production they dont have the sour taste from his plus minus from last year. I don't get how people keep getting duped by rumours from some guy trying to get clicks.

If we retained half we could still get someone like Soogaard or Merilainen up and break even on cap which I would consider a net positive.
