Hola, Avs fan coming in peace.

Curious what you'd need from the Avs for Forsberg. For argument's sake, let's say Provestov is included going the other way (if you need).

Also, not sure if they are available but Pinto/Norris would also be big targets for the Avs. Obviously Pinto is more likely for several reasons, So it could expand to a Pinto + Forsberg package

You can take Norris + Forsberg for sure.

Give us literally anything.

I don’t have names off the top. But tarasenko and Kubalik out for energy guys that play decent defensive hockey. Don’t have to be juggernauts. 20-30 point guys.

were a cap team in last place. We need to drop salary so it would have to be Norris not Pinto.

Seems almost guaranteed neither will be back next year.

And absolutely agree we need two more Connor Brown types to replace them. Energy two way guys that can play middle 6 minutes and it hurt us

If we are changing the core the two I would move would be Norris and Chabot. Both overpaid and lack intensity big time

What is surprising is that Dorion said that Pageau was his favourite player after they drafted him, so you'd think Dorion understood the value of that type of player.
Dorion said many things; some of them bizarre, some lies, some self-serving, and some that changed soon after said.

If he's worth a pail of pucks, what is Korpisalo worth? 1 puck?

Apparently the goalie market is very difficult right now. It's a sellers market, with not a lot of options.

If the Senators retained half, or took back a contract, maybe they would get an asset. His term is what would be tricky about moving him.

The buyout cost this offseason is 1.833M over 2 years (916k per season). Full retention is 1.375M over 1 year and whatever remains this season.

If they could get a 3rd round pick for him with full retention, it might be worth it. You have to keep in mind a retention spot is typically worth a 4th or 5th round pick at the TDL as a third party team to retain. So for anything less than a 3rd, a buyout makes more sense. It doesn't make sense to tie up a retention spot for 2 seasons that could be used to get multiple mid or late picks.

The better approach might be to find a miscast forward or D who has similar term and cap hit and do a change of scenery type swap. Or, find a different goalie in a similar position.

Don't forget about the time Dorion claimed a veteran player wanted to hug him after acquiring Alex Burrows lol

It doesn't count when the player who wanted to hug him was Alex Burrows, and it was because Dorion gave him that extension.
