Don't forget Andre Roy!
If we're going that far back, Mike Peluso.
Don't forget Andre Roy!
One has nothing to do with the other, we could have signed both and probably would have if Sundqvist wanted to come here. There's a reason he's going back to St Louis.Ridiculous.
How'd we sign MacEwan over him? I would have gladly given him 1.5
Lol okay you win, but you jumped back another decade. I was at least still in the Martin era.If we're going that far back, Mike Peluso.

I had to check that too. I only became a fan in 1996 when I finally got cable TV, so he pre-dates my fandom.I actually didn't know that Peluso only played that one season for us. I assumed he'd played a few.
Came here to post this.damn we should have offered that to him. I'd much rather have Boqvist on 4th line than MacEwan or Kelly.
So would every other team probablydamn we should have offered that to him. I'd much rather have Boqvist on 4th line than MacEwan or Kelly.
Bodqvist & Sunqvist got the exact same amount $775, the term was 2 yrs longer because Ottawa needed an enforcer type & MacEwen is only 29 yrs old.Why did we sign MacEwen to a bigger contract than Sundqvist or Boqvist?
What exactly does Dorion think makes a good bottom six?
I'm really hoping our 4th line does not ultimately look like what it appears below. Might get 8-10 goals total out of that. Why did we sign MacEwen to a bigger contract than Sundqvist or Boqvist?

well Heinen is still available.I'm really hoping our 4th line does not ultimately look like what it appears below. Might get 8-10 goals total out of that.
MacEwan - Kastelic - Kelly
I know nothing about him, but he looks like he could certainly provide some offence.well Heinen is still available.
Its also possible Sens never pursued himIt’s also possible that Boqvist would rather play for a team that just set a regular season record over a team that hasn’t made the playoffs in 6 years.
I think they have some options depending on who has a good training camp. I think left wing will be between Kelly & Smejkal & the right wing spot between MacEwen & Sokolov. It could also depend who they are playing & which two play that game. IMO Kastelic is locked for the C spot. Sokolov & Smejkal likely bring a little more offence while Kelly & MacEwen bring more jam.I'm really hoping our 4th line does not ultimately look like what it appears below. Might get 8-10 goals total out of that.
MacEwan - Kastelic - Kelly
I really hope MacEwan isn’t supposed to be a regular.I'm really hoping our 4th line does not ultimately look like what it appears below. Might get 8-10 goals total out of that.

Possible, but maybe there’s a reason guys play in Boston for cheap.
Yes there is.Possible, but maybe there’s a reason guys play in Boston for cheap.
Yeah I lean towards this and I’m no fan of Pierre’s pro scouting.
MacEwan was probably not really very sought after so we convinced him to play here with the extra years. Doubt the other two guys even considered coming here.
Right, Smejkal is in there too. I'm nervous on expecting anything from Sokolov, but good mention.I think they have some options depending on who has a good training camp. Smejkal/Kelly - Kastelic - MacEwen/Sokolov
Me too. That contract fits well as a 13th/14th forward. With the term, they may be willing to throw him on waivers when needed too.I really hope MacEwan isn’t supposed to be a regular.
Depends on what kind of identity they want on that 4th line.Right, Smejkal is in there too. I'm nervous on expecting anything from Sokolov, but good mention.
Kelly produced 1 goal last year. I think I speak for everyone when I say he needs to bring more than that, even as a guy in there for his jam. We see more of what we saw last year and I hope he's quickly demoted. Would not be opposed to him needing to play his way back in again.
I still hope a middle 6er is added to push someone down and increase the quality of the bottom that way.
