Even the language coming out of the DeBrincat camp re heading to UFA was similar.. I don't have the quotes now and I am not going to try to find them.

Plays heavy, hits and fights, adds some scoring pop on the bottom end of the roster. Nice Watson replacement. Some speculation that he's looking for a 3 year, 4.5M deal.

Not sure what we could offer them, but could be a fit.

I can see why he'd be traded if he's asking for that kind of deal.

Based on the insider trading segment. I am starting to sense that this dude is coming back on a 1 year deal.

At this rate if we’re not able to swing for a PLD type of return, might as well bring him back. There may yet be hope with Andlauer coming in (and if @benjiv1 is correct, new GM incoming), and they can take a fresh stab at this. Almost feels like with all the negotiating through the media that Dorion is doing, the lines seemed to have soured a bit

I think it's the agent as much as Dorion. Look at the two Browns. With Logan, Jackson started leaking to the media about issues very early on..

J.P Barry was another villainous agent to this fanbase. It sucks cuz the second the GM starts avoiding the agent players will cue in and start switching agencies knowing who can squeeze the GM.

At the end of the day Debrincat is very unlikely to hit the FA home run he wants if he goes to UFA via the sens. They're certainly not going to be giving him minutes on PP1 above others if he has no plans of staying. If he has two 60 pt seasons and 25-30 goals is he getting 9+ as an undersized winger? Doubtful even with cap inflation.

His best bet at cashing in is a sign and trade right now.

Barbashev is the one who would fit amazing with Norris and Batherson. 0 interest in Drouin too soft no drive. Sens gotta get harder. Acciari would be a good target, miles wood, comtois. Those types.

I never realized about Tatar's defensive metrics. I knew he had some skill, but I'm fully on board now.

Tatar had an extremely dominant ssn in mtrl at one point as well. Think he's not as good as those advanced stats say but he's not bad. Those stats can be so terrible when teams just play low to high all day... (Carolina zzzzzz) but new jersey had a ton of rush and transition chances so it is intriguing.
