Yeah he probably has the best shot on our D.

The issue is Sullivan's going to use him as a shutdown D and he's going to get absolutely roasted.
I think he can do a similar job to what Pettersson does for us. But the problem is I think our defense corps needed someone *better* than Pettersson's level, not just a second version of him (better shooting version).

2 years vs 6. Devils fans saying he's not been the same since his surgery, so don't mind missing out on Woods.
Yea 6 years is outrageous no doubt. I’d go to 3 mil for a more reasonable contract. But yea I did hear he isn’t quite the same. (heard that with Eller too though)

I'm sticking to Karlsson until it's denied or he goes to Seattle.

But out of the players left there is some decent depth. Bertuzzi, Rodrigues (lol watch him screw himself again), Domi, Sundqvist, Kerfoot, Suter, Fischer, Yamamoto.

I wonder if the Caps' board is losing their minds that they lost out on the top free agents and haven't traded for premiere, game-changing talent. Anybody who is like "The Caps suck and are dead in the water!" while being pissed about how today played out for the Pens probably have to take a step back and reevaluate a little bit.
What if Carter is just getting LTIRed.
Don't give me that hope.

Don’t you need the owner’s approval for a buyout? There’s just way too many variables with every decision to make anything definitively straight forward as “this is what I would do hur dur “

And now we have no cap room for real NHL players.

The caps are selling out pieces for picks, having great drafts, and doing great things to actually build their team for the future.
