Right. He did it once and walked away.Remember when the plan was to use the cap space to take advantage of capped out teams?
Was Reilly Smith for a 3rd really that much of a robbery?

Why are you such a Jarry fan boy? Never seen someone defend a player this much.
Way to read the market, Kyle. When you got Matt Duchene signing for 3 mil. I don't think Smith at 5 mil is all that.
Exactly…the team our stale coach wants…can’t wait to miss the POs again and have him get another 5 year contract extension lolI hate to say it but I agree. He's building a team for Sully. Despite the fact the most successful teams use depth to win we're going old school. Bottom 6 getting 80%+ defensive starts and hoping an aging top 6 can carry them because it worked so well last year.
* last time he was good was when he was in Minnesota*"Petry is a huge part of the plan heading into the season. Plays 2nd pairing minutes behind Letang--very important for us."
Well pixies is rocking a hate boner right now.
"It's up to us as a team and Granlund to get back up to the level he's been at in the past."
Sullivan wanted PK'ers. Eller and Smith addresses that.Theres definitely a pattern with the Nieto/Acciari/Eller signings. Sullivan wants guys he can bury in defensive zone minutes. They wont provide much offense but also wont kill use defensively I guess
If I am Geno/Crosby/Malkin I'm not too excited right now.
Sure we filled some spots but Smith is a lateral move at best to Zucker.
I'll give Graves the benefit of the doubt over Dumo but expectations there aren't too high, Graves I thought looked pretty weak in the playoffs. Our 4th line is better but WTF.
I will reserve judgement as some moves look like they still need to be made but if anyone is excited right now heading into season I guess I'm happy for you.
Nieto also PKsSullivan wanted PK'ers. Eller and Smith addresses that.
I guess we’re going late 2000s Detroit style with this team of mostly 30+ years olds. The only thing is Kris Letang isn’t anywhere close to Lidstrom at the same age. Now if they somehow pulled off a miracle and landed EK, there could be something there.
If it was 2008.
And, it seems like you probably could have just payed Zucker 1 yr 5mil anyway? Save a 3rd.Way to read the market, Kyle.
Graves is 28. That's as young as you're going to get through UFA with few exceptions. The idea was to leverage the cap space in some trades for players that aren't UFAs but that went out went the window pretty quickly.Maybe no one young wants to sign here because we're old and they know we'll suck-ish
Valentina would beat the shit out of all of them.We riot boys, Becky didn't win
